Have you heard of SI☆NA?

Post by Shoujo Q »

I stole this from theJ-ongaku wiki!

Created from Hello Pro Kansai Audition 2005, four girls were chosen to create the group Hello Pro Kansai. ( Suma Ai, Iwashima Manami Abe Asami and Nakayama Nana ) Suma Ai and Iwashima Manami were both in the 2005 Morning Musume auditions that chose Koharu if you recall (Or not). In 2008, they officially changed their name to SI☆NA, which is made from the initials of the members. They used to host a weekly radio show on Kiss FM in Kobe called Girls Kiss. In July, 2009 Nakayama Nana left the group in order to concentrate on her studies. The group puts on small regular concerts under the title "TANOSINA" (Vol.1, 2, etc.), sometimes Okada Yui is a guest performer. They also participate in HAPPY! STYLE Communication Circuits. They usually perform covers of songs from Hello! Project, anime, video games, or other idols.

Upfront YouTube Page finally revealed some of SI☆NA to us. They've been taking up space on the H!P website but unless you live in Japan you really never knew they exsisted.

H!P Kansai is basically just SI☆NA but Okada Yui is also known to show up from time to time.

They uploaded some videos of the group SI☆NA performing on stage. This is the first time I've heard them sing or do anything really. It's uhm... interesting?

Gatamekira

Tanpopo

Suki Sugite Baka Mitai

SONGS

Saigo no Natsuyasumi(I think this might be Okada Yui but it's too hard to tell in the shot, it sounds like her.)

Fantasy

What are your thoughts? Like them, hate them? Think Tsunku should get involved in their careers?

Holy shit. Major debut them now.

I didn't know SINA was THAT strong. I wonder what they were like when they had 4 members.

Can't say I am overly impressed, especially not when they take on Gatamekira and Tanpopo (two favourites of mine) and loose .

I was JUST about to post about them after reading something in their blog about filming a PV. One of them is LITERALLY tone deaf - her lines are not on key ONCE on Gatamekira, it's almost funny if not somewhat painful. The one with the big hair (forget her name...) is actually pretty good all things considered, so I'm hoping they'll get some sort of debut soon.

They're all rather old for current H!P (I think two are 19 and the other is 18, or the other way around) so they better jump on it because they're past idol prime but not talented enough to be debuted as a non-idol group.

Not really, they've been training since 2005.
