Morning Musume and AKB48 to collaborate

Hate is stupid when people get serious about it or just do it without any reflection at all. And MM-BBS prides itself to be smarter than those other boards. Sadly, it seems like at any mention of AKB the IQ of most members falls down to about 48, this thread notwithstanding.



So please, be smart and constructive in your criticism, or go to those other boards, be them H!P- or AKB-centric. We're better than them. And if you really need a special thread or threads for your hate-wanking, then let us know and we'll see about it.

Edit: Reading aine's comments, I don't think anybody is seriously hating here, I'm certainly not (I don't know enough about AKB48 to give an opinion), it's just a bit of light-hearted fun and even a staunch AKB48 fan would have to admit their performance was terrible. I've seen enough bloody awful H!P live performances to know that on a given day anybody can be bad <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />.

I am ok with AKB, I like 2~3 songs and saw a few entertaining shows of them.

I love AKB48! I love H!P more and I don't follow AKB much except for single releases and sub-groups, but I don't hate AKB. I would've said the same about any H!P performance if they acted the same as AKB.

Hate's a strong word, it's more not being lovey dovey with the idols, but seeing them as flawed and not perfect and being able to mock them without getting flamed to death and flaming those who get uptight about it.

See? No hate. But wasn't that so boring and awkward to read? Laughing at bad live performances once in a while is just part of the fun. And, if it is a general fact that the performance was bad, then that isn't hating, it is insightful commentary.

I couldn't agree more and I also think there wasn't much AKB hating going on anyway, they did a shit poor performance and we all had a good laugh about it it.

Yeah, I'm noticing the lack of justification for the "hate" around here. A few snide comments, yeah, but most are made tongue-in-cheek. I mean, if you really WANT some hate, I can do hate. Or at least bitter sarcasm.



I hugely dislike Hamasaki, Koda, AKB, Avex (the label and management. I like a number of their artists) and the vast majority of the K-pop genre, but since I know I don't like any of them, I just completely stay out of threads relating to them and leave them in their own little sub-forum. Out of sight, out of mind. It's when people gotta go and bring them into the HP section or, even worse, try to make this board not about HP, that I get defensive.

It was a boring performance. I hate to add to the criticism, but being tired isn't a great excuse. AKB was far more excited later in the show when they sang their own song. But really, it's NTV who let us down by calling it a "collaboration" when in fact it was a Morning Musume performance in the center with the hosts of AKB and goddamn Becky to the sides. Sure they could have acted more excited, but they didn't, oh well. I think the reaction to the "hate" is an overreaction. The criticism was no different from when we criticize any H!P performance. I hope the dumb console wars don't make us so sensitive that we perceive any criticism of other idols to be blind hatred rather than a truthful reaction of "that was boring".

Yeah I don't really get how us talking about how bad AKB's performance was was just us being bitter anti-AKB H!P fans. I don't see how we can't make fun of how AKB's vocals were flat, looked like they really just wanted to take their money and go home until they noticed the camera was on them, and their dancing was completely out of sync and equally energy-less as their facial expressions/"singing" was, but if it was any H!P act it would be fair game.
