Compared to their last PV, that isn't boring. It has potential for some nice animated gifs!

There is no hotdog! hotdog scam!

Also, this isn't a Hitler reference. The moustaches paired with the canes and general goofiness reminded me of Charlie Chaplan.

But cutey cute cute cute.

I know that H!P PV's aren't the best anyways, but I think Yume Miru was better than this one, plus the dance is kinda bleh.

But the scene's in the black outfit's are cute and I like the mic stands

or any H!P PV this year.

If not, someone please tell me the contenders, I'd love to see it or have a good laugh (at you).

I actually like this PV quite a bit. :X It has a lot more style than Yume Miru Fifteen and it's really cute. Fake moustaches, funny faces and canes, man.

And yeah, the moustaches are definitely Charlie Chaplin, not Hitler. I'm sure UFA learned their lesson from the Uncle Hitler incident.

This is CUUUUUUUUUUTE but I don't like how they switch between the close-ups. Looks a little Windows Movie Maker to me.

Choreography is a little dippy BUT OVER ALL I REALLY LIKE THIS VIDEO.

The editing is crap. The close up are EXTREME!!!!, so much so, one of the PV versions should be ○○ Ganbaranakutemo ee nende! EXTREME Close-Up Version, just for good measure.

Well based on what I've seen, this is a major step up for your standard H!P PV. Right now, I like the choreography but I'll have for the dance shot to see it completely to make my final judgement. I'm loving this single right now.

Updated to show you which cover is which. I was wrong about the Regular, but am not unhappy that it's the one with Hot Dog featuring S/mileage. ;D

Here's a radio preview of S/mileage's C/W Smile Bijin if you're inclined to listen to a radio preview of course. ;D

The person who UPed that version used the PVs so um, ignore that. D:

PQ, your video's URL seems to be malformed.

Rumor has it, the new song is great and sweet. I've finally listened to this now that it's out. Screw music, it's just simple bouncy sound effects fun. I still haven't heard the standard dialect version, so I wonder if they use that goofy stereotypical voice at 1:48 for example. Also, if I were good at audio manipulation, I'd make a whole 4 minute song out of 2:20-2:25. With a b-side of 2:37-2:39.

"Smile Bijin" is so current-era Tsunku. I do kind of like the repeated "kudakechiru hatsukoi" part.

According to Oricon they ranked 5th on the first day. We won't know the numbers till the end of the week but it seems to be doing better than Berryz's latest.

Ranking of July 27th:

1 Yamashita Tomohisa (NEWS)

2 Yuusuke (Kamiji Yuusuke from Hexagon)

3 Amuro Namie

4 GACKT

5 S/mileage

6 WaT

7 Imai Miki x Kobuchi Kentarou (Kobukuro)

8 Sophia

9 access

10 SCANDAL

I'll be impressed if they manage to keep the 5th position for the week. I'm guessing they'll end up at 7 though.

S/mileage has amazingly stuck in 7th place for a few days. And beating Scandal isn't really a big deal, as they don't really sell all that much to begin with (and as much as I love the band, their non-rocking songs really shouldn't be their singles).

I think they've been doing very well keeping in mind how strong many of the others are but I'm afraid of the numbers, YamaPi, Yuusuke and WaT? But, yes, Scandal don't usually sell very much unless something happened and they became a big act lately. Anyway, this S/mileage single is not a flop, so far!

Well the remix doesn't sound too bad . But it's more like they acted goofy at the beginning of the song and then afterwards they looked kind of lost and semi-awkward. Still cute though.
an imperialist power that fully embraced theories of racial superiority.
What kind of racial superiority you mean?

During the WWII, the slogan of Japanese imperialists was "One Asia"(大東亜共栄圏), which claimed that Japan should emancipate other Asian countries under the rule of Western Countries.

Also, swastika is a Buddhist symbol in many Asian countries. Recognizing swastika as a Nazi symbol is a plain ignorance.

I think Americans lack of knowledge for the rest of the World.

There's no denying that the Japanese back then (and sadly some still do until today) thought they were superior and the "race choosen by god/the kami to rule over the world".

So, yeah, they were horribly racist because the propaganda of the state made themselves into a race.

The phrase of "One Asia" was complete propaganda, most strongly utilized in Japan after the late 1930s when Japan needed to ideologically continue to justify a system of exploitative colonization, specifically built on imported theories of racial hierarchy, but still allow Japan to recruit non-Japanese laborers and soldiers for the war effort. I refuse to waste my time educating you on the matter. Why don't you fap off to your neo-con bullshit and leave this board alone?

This has got to be a troll. Why isn't he banned? Why do jokes about AKB launch stern, defensive interventions but shit stirring morons are left alone?
