Haven't seen anything new from it, though... But yeah, that one too of course. And the HD re-releases of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus too!

New trailer from TGS.

Oh, and new Deus Ex trailer. I'm mostly surprised that they got Rihanna to play the bad guy. [run_this_town joke]

Yeah the only excuse I can think of is when I searched for it, it was probably before the Sony press conference? But yeah, shameful omission anyway.

I don't care but some other people might: the team that made the frankly awful Demons's Soul's is working on a (multiplatform) sequel called Dark Knight or something. Handy-dandy handcam'd trailer.

Demons' Souls was awesome wtf are you talking about.

TGS was all about THE LAST GUARDIAN. I looped the trailer I was so in love with the kitty/puppy/birdie/thingie

Catherine interests me, but it looks like the sort of game I can only play alone at night. I want HD SMT more than HD Persona. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I want to play the new Suda 51 game with the lead that looks like Benicio del Toro XD even though it looks like standard stuff. Humor will hopefully take it a long way

New DMC is shit. HARHARHAR I AM NOT PLAYING UGLY HIPSTER PROTAG I'm not into guys I could beat to a pulp no thank you. Besides, Bayonetta's gameplay is better (plus she's hotter)

Castlevania's new storyline trailer made me think of Del Toro and that makes me more excited! Release date is so close...!

I can't remember any others and my memory is fuzzy.

Because that is what Team ICO does, make you cry.

Btw, it is called Trico.

Special Needs Trico. I think they'll probably keep the creature alive, since everyone's expecting the twist of it dying already. But either way I'm fine with it, they can tell a story. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ugh, I feel you. Thank god the servers are down or I would've bought it already. I still don't know shit about shit about how the game works, but I'm liking survival. The zombies are actually pretty scary. I always seem to get part of my fort blown up right before morning... PROTIP: tree house.

Also, tried out HAPPY SKY for a bit, but I got sleepy <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... eeping.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':noway:' /> It's pretty good, though the overall mood of the songs was notably house-ier than I expected. Granted, I mostly played through the revivals on the low difficulties, but I was expecting just a ton of happy hardcore. Maybe that's in the mid-5's...

I've also jumped back to DJMAX Portable 2. I recently unlock two new songs and I felt like I discovered a treasure. I hadn't really looked into unlockables, but seeing that there are more songs is really enticing. Besides, I've got dozens of gear to unlock. GIVE ME A LADYMADE STAR CHARACTER. I WANT TO BE GIRLY AND GIRLIER.

This comic strip perfectly details my exact thought process as I realized Minecraft would steal my life.

Guuuuurl build you a furnace and use you some sand to make glass windows. See those suckers coming. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':noway:' /> And yeah, zombies make creepy noises but they're easy to kill. I avoided caves for ages because of the skeletons, though, but eventually got over it because my lust for diamonds overpowered my desire to live. Definitely hit up the wiki, especially the crafting page. I would be utterly lost without it.

Have you seen some of the worlds people have constructed? Nuts. Bananas. I was proud just to make a waterfall with a viewing balcony over it.

I'm not obsessed. Not at all. I'm not trying to build a house that looks like a giant cake. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM.

THERE ARE SKELETONS UNDERGROUND?! I got trapped down underground after falling down a tiny hole and had to dig my way out in damn near pitch blackness. I'll for mos def take your advice about glass. I'm not so worried about zombies as I am about the exploding ones (are they zombies? I thought zombies had two legs...) because they blow up my shit! Maybe if I use stone? Can they blow up cobblestone?

The worst thing though is when your spawn point is on that tiny island and your fort is SEVEN FUCKING MILES THAT WAY >:\

Also, this is hilarious and SO SO SAD. [edit] If you start that video with this one (yeah, I'm obsessed with it now, shutup), it kind of works in sync a little bit maybe. [/e-derp]

The things with four legs that blow you up are called creepers, and they're not the same as zombies, which just sort of walk at you and try to eat you. They can blow up any (non-liquid) thing except obsidian, I think, which is a black stone found at basically the bottom of the earth near lava.

Don't fight going in the the holes/caves! It's where all the great stuff is. Make a torch to light it up and have a sword ready just in case, and go in stocked up on wood so you can make more sticks for torches and picks. Crafting crafting crafting.

Skeletons suck because they shoot arrows, so when I hear the rattling I almost always take the wuss way out. There's also giant jumping spiders, so look forward to that. The good thing is you get tons of heads up with the noises enemies make.

Also every world is randomly generated, so whatever little island you may have I won't have.

The best fire disaster is this poor dude that created an elaborate sprinkler system only to have it fail. It ends with him standing alone, dumbfounded, as his paintings burn. I shouldn't have laughed.

This is a dude just kind of meandering around a cave finding coal and iron and stuff, but it has some good points about different tools and different rocks and how they act (granite suffocating you, etc.)

I think it is hilarious how the developer makes other people pay for an alpha version of a game that he probably will never finish.

Notch is incredibly timely and awesome with his releases, like he's some sort of crazy game making robot. If anything he's going to make too many new things to keep adding before he finally releases it proper, but how invested he seems in it makes me think he WILL finish it. Also, I'm a bad person and am playing for free, but I wholeheartedly intend to give him my cash the second I, you know, have any. And I mean that literally, since my bank account is still frozen from the theft fiasco.

The hours of enjoyment, funny moments and just pure game-y goodness I have gotten out of this sucker are more than I've gotten out of many expensive games. 10 bucks is the least I can throw this dude's way. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /noway.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':noway:' />

The Civ 5 demo is wonderful so far.

It's also probably the easiest Civ to get into so far if you're a newcomer. So check it out if you have never played a Civ before.

Etrian Odyssey III was released today. I preordered and got a supershiny artbook and poster with it. All these things are sitting in a box in a place I can't reach until someone else gets here <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':noway:' />.

I am also playing Sengoku Basara 3, which is awesome, and Dragon Quest IV, which is apparently a classic, but kind of hard to get into.

Yes. I'll probably put it aside for a while now because I've started EO3 and it seems quite good. Just really really hard.

I definitely want to play EO3 as well, but it'll have to wait until after I move and also finish Resonance of Fate. Speaking of which, I'm playing Resonance of Fate. It's awesome, definitely one of the best RPGs I played the past ten or so years, and by far the best HD/current-gen RPG thus far (unless I'm forgetting something, but I don't think so). Tri-ace rocks!

I'm still waiting for the price of RoF to drop. :| The only games I'm buying at release price until the end of the year are 9 persons/hours/doors because visual novels don't really sell and I love visual novels (though I preordered it when the price was 10 yams cheaper on amazon, so technically...) plus 4 heroes of light because I really want a poster. Poster sized Yoshida artwork ohemgeesoawesome The game is the accessory to the poster, really.

DQ IV is awesome, you just have to trudge through those nobodies (the first two chapters, though the first is the most boring. Spunky Russian princesses rule) until you hit Torneko's chapter, which is the CHAPTER OF AWESOME. You think your main is the lead, but it is all about Torneko. He is so awesome he got his own spinoff game. Your main is not that awesome. You wish your main is as badass as Torneko. You will not want the fun in Torneko's chapter to end. And each nobody afterward will only make you long for Torneko and his chapter of fun.

I want $30 or lower. The time they had a minisale on it and it dropped that low, I didn't have the funds. And I'm patiently waiting for it to drop that low again. $20 would be better, but that's not likely. Maybe TRU will have a cheap sale on it...! -pipe dream-they don't do awesome things like that anymore. I miss my $5 games that were $20-40 everywhere else. Thank god for Amazon's $20 or $10 preorder coupons for select games. That's the best deal anywhere. I forgot about Castlevania, so that's 3 games at retail price for me lolol...but since I get $20 from amazon, it's really more like $40, so I still win. What, wait, what am I rambling about now?

I caved and bought Minecraft. God damn do I love this. I started a new world today and was in the middle of this GIGANTIC cave run. 100+ coal, 20+ iron, hundreds of stone, 100+ torches leaving a trail. I was even playing on Peaceful so no skeletons!

And then I fell in the lava. Turns out that you can actually survive in lava on Peaceful with its auto-regenerate features. Turns out that the features lapses if you try to heal while still in lava.

I had no chests made and have nothing in reserve.

I think I paid 20 euros for RoP, but I would say it's worth full price too based on sheer size (and also: awesomeness).

Not really a game as such, but I'm playing around in Game Maker 8. I finally gave in and admitted that I won't have the patience to learn to code in the foreseeable future. I'd just like to try to make some working prototypes for games, and have some fun. Yu Derek's post about finishing games encouraged me to do it, since he made Spelunky with it. It can't be THAT bad, right? Anyway I'm just not in a position to be a snob about game development at this point.

I completely geeked out today and went to a local retailer to buy it, because Amazon didn't ship it today and I didn't want to have the whole weekend without any ciV and just read about it.

3h in, I'm more than pleased.

I now put up my torches in arrow shapes pointing toward the exit.

Oh, I do that too! Three arrows pointing towards the way I came and a torch in those tiny passages between chambers. I also made this gigantic tower of torches at my main base that I can see from really far away.

It's a spiral glass structure with wooden ends (because nothing sticks to glass :T ). The top 5 or 6 blocks collide with the cloud box. I HAVE PIERCED THE HEAVENS!
