4 CM and 30s song preview



Nee will be Perfume's second song for NATURAL BEAUTY BASIC. For the CM, the three members are being "cloned" for various dance scenes.

Anyhow, I haven't been into a lot of their newer music besides One Room Disco and a few songs off a recent album, but this sounds pretty typical/boring so far. I love that promo shot, though.

Natural ni koishite was a wonderful and easy to listen to song, but this is boring.

I think Perfume should really start to change a bit or otherwise I'm not going to care for them anymore, which is sad because I like several of their songs.

Haha, exactly. This shows you what I consider "new," which is basically anything after their first "best" album back in like...06?

I dunno, it seems to be more in the direction of Polyrhythm and really has a FRUiTS CLiPPER sound. I think I prefer that sort of Perfume sound. Natural was nice, and I agree they could use a bit of a change, but I think the experiments in different sounds (see: album tracks from Triangle and even GAME) were even more boring. At least the same-old same-old sound is fun, right?



They are supposed to be idol-types. I think they've become a sort of niche group/off-shoot from Yasutaka Nakata, and variance doesn't totally fit that idea/concept.



[edit]Also, Fushizen and VOICE were totally under the radar and were much more meh than this.

I recently fell in love with this group and I have to admit, this song sounds an awful lot like it contains content from tokumajapan, who has blocked it on copyright grounds



-and also it reminds me of Plastic Smile. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> The guitar parts are cool though, I think it's impossible to tell how much I'll like it from just the CM preview, since its just the same part over and over. Edge is extremely repetitive (6 minute or 8 minute version) but I'm crazy about that song, so I'll just wait and see.



I think they can pull off changing their sound every so often, Macaroni was kind of different than the usual and I thought that one was amazing (and actually the song that made me check out more stuff to get hooked in the first place). Also, the 80's sound in NIGHT FLIGHT was an awesome idea.

I'm excited for this single. I liked what I heard in the short preview, and I like Perfume songs more after watching the PV, so I eagerly await both the full song and PV.

Poor quality full version. Seems like one of the best Perfume songs. If the b-side is anywhere near as good as 575, it'll be my favorite Perfume single.

This is an accurate description of my impression of Perfume in general ever since their first single. Unfortunately this one doesn't change it the slightest bit either.

The full PV is out now, at least on jpopsuki. I couldn't find it on YouTube or DailyMotion aside from a 1:48 version on Tokuma Japan's YouTube channel.



I dislike the song a little less after listening to the full thing in better quality on the video. I found it slightly too whiny, but it was more tolerable the second time through.

The PV has a bunch of great moments. The girls are as stylish as ever, the scene with Kashiyuka and the ___ is cuteness overload, and the crazy footwork during the vocal mixing part at 2:46 proves they still got it.

I finally listened to FAKE IT.

The 1st 3 seconds were cool-ish, then that looping noise came on and I was thinking "what the hell is this?" When the girls first come in, it sounds more like the part that would come after a short instrumental break. (especially with the lighter instrumentals and the clapping sound effect)



At about 2:08 I was thinking "I don't know if I would put this on a playlist".

Then at 2:30, it grabs me hard and doesn't let go. At 3:58, I was all for the NOISE part.



I think I like this just as much, if not more than ねぇ.

It needs a PV with robotic movements and absurd futuristic technology.

This song (thanks Zaeleus for the up =) ) sounds a lot better in HQ with your headphones on. You need to feel the base, but the ending is pretty lame and hurts my ears.

I love this, everything about it, except for maybe the ending. They could have saved this mix for the album, and given the single a more conventional ending, I think, but this is nitpicking of the highest order.



This is two great singles from Perfume out of their last three, and two of their strongest yet. Fushizen na Girl/Natural ni Koishite is amazing, especially "Natural ni Koishite".

I don't think I've liked a Perfume single so much since Dream Fighter. The vocal mixing is ace. The song doesn't change the Perfume formula much, but I'm not sure that could really work for Perfume as they currently stand. My only real criticism would be that the video isn't quite as good as some other Perfume videos, although they all look stylish. Fake It is pretty amazing, too.



This has me thirsty for a new Perfume album now.
