I'm pretty sure they could care less about if she can sing...they just want her to be cute, and in their eyes, she isn't cute.

It's also partly because of how the auditions went. Plus there's been a surge of new girls and there's only so many fans to go around. It's not that people hate her, it's that not many would pick her as their number one.

Same here. I love, love, love, LOVE Sakura's singing voice, but I still love some of the girls a bit more.
 
A lot of the wota don't think she's drop-dead gorgeous, so they tend to ignore her even with her good voice, because, as we all know, that part of being an idol doesn't matter to wota.
 
Who knows, maybe in a few years the wota will warm up to her and she'll become a sort of Ai case where they like her.

I suppose I have a different perspective since I didn't start following MM again in earnest until right around the time Sakura was added. Pretty much the entire group other than Sayumi was new to me.

Sakura was announced as the winner of the audition only a couple of days after they showed the finalists. She'd already cut her hair and they had a costume ready to go, so a lot of people felt like the audition was rigged and weren't happy with the winner being only one new girl from the kenshuusei program.

LOL! Because all the other auditions made perfect sense. 
 
In the past, things like this were taken out on Tsunku or UFA. Now they are blaming the actual girl? That's fucking pathetic.

I'm guessing she wasn't a favorite in the auditions. Sakura was not one of the more popular or well known trainees at the time and didn't even stand out at all in her first audition for H!P. They were probably all rooting for Hamaura Ayano.

I also like Sakura and her voice a lot, but she's not my favorite.

Well, Sakura's position is pretty secure. She's not popular but right now there isn't really a good replacement for her. Unless someone with a voice Up Front likes with a big fanbase comes along she'll probably be lead for awhile.

While I agree with this, and I haven't really been following Sakura's friendships within the group, but, I think she's pretty good friends with Kuduu, right? It seems that they kind of lump her in with the Tenkies, even to the point where Sakura's blog is on the same account that their's are.
 
So what I'm thinking is that she probably gets some "same generation love" with the Tenkies? lol this is really just grasping for straws, but hey.

They're still her senpai, and you can tell in the way she talks to them. 9th gen and 10th gen joined closer together than 10th and 11th. It's definitely not there, and it's something you can only get with someone in you same gen. Aika said it too, even till the end, that she wished she had someone else in her gen (JunLin don't count for obvious reasons). Sakura just gets lumped on their blog because otherwise she'd have a solo blog.

I think she's closest with Erina and Kanon.

I never go to that thread, for some reason the pinned threads are always out of my sight. But after my last post, I remembered that the short preview we heard didn't had all the Morisanchuu vocals that the live has. So, it was the preview of the MM ver.?
