Really? It sounds exactly like what's been described so far! Hahaha, I didn't know about this song, so actually I think it might be similar....? I get the idea behind it all being sung in unison. With Sayumi leaving, Tsunku wants the girls to all be united. To help them realize that they will be the new Morning Musume and that they will be one complete group, the 9 of them (for the moment.) I think singing a song like this will help bring the girls together :)

I guess I just can't imagine the current line up going for something almost choral-like in arrangement - all those harmony parts, etc.  It's very classic. It'd be a really cool shift in tone for them but I feel like we'll get something more like an all unison KoiING/Tomo/Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru.  AKB have always had a penchant for throw back imagery to high school choirs but I don't think H!P have tried going for anything like that since first and second gen (the occasional acapella performance by Berryz or C-ute not included).

Kind of disappointing. I'm pretty much over the dubstep thing -- there are other styles of EDM -- but I wouldn't mind it if I thought the song was compelling, but nothing here grabs me.

I know, it's the full version of the live performance I'm hoping for :) They performed the song at their 17th Anniversary event so I'm expecting to see it this week :)
 
I don't know what to make of the song overall but it doesn't seem to be "in your face" as an A-side should be. It sound's more like a B-side to me. I hope the PV is good.

And no real line for Riho? Mikaeri Bijin sung in unison and Shabadabadoo a Sayu solo, Arco you're luck Tsunku decided to give her 2 syllables to sing!

I love everything about this so far, except for the lack of real, long solo lines. While it's nice not having to worry about whether or not Riho or Masaki or whoever is going to butcher a line, I prefer it when the songs are mostly solos. But their songs haven't been heavy on solo lines in a while. I guess it's because they aren't comfortable doing that with this line-up. Or maybe it's because the dances are more intense. Of course, that doesn't stop C-ute songs from being mostly solo lines when they are doing even harder dances. Putting that aside, I really do love this song (it's so much better than Password is 0) and the outfits and (most of) the dance. I'm not quite sure if I like the DJ move. But Ayumi does it really well. She looks like an actual DJ.

I agree with all of this almost completely.  I think I heard that it was because of the dancing that there's less solo lines, but I'm not sure how much is due to the difficulty/intensity and how much is because they're formation dances and all about unity.  That being said, C-ute has half as many members and twice as much experience, and until Aitai Lonely Christmas, the solo lines were almost exclusively Airi and Maimi, so it's not that unusual.

TIKI BUN has grown on me a lot, I like it! Even if it is too similar. I bet they didn't have the MV ready to show and that's why they showed the live performance. Idk why people are saying it's a Riho, Haruka, Sayu center. They switch positions a lot and Masaki is in the same position on the opposite side of Duu while Sayu is on the sides a lot, then by the end they have all the center girls there (Riho, Sayu, Ayumi, Sakura).
 
I wonder if we're going to get audition footage this time. I really hope we do and it's not just like 11th gen.
 
Like someone mentioned before, it would be cool is Mikaeri Bijin is like AKB's Sakura no Shiori.

She got a "demo" to herself. You can tell it's only her too cause they have the echoing effect of her voice afterwards.

I thought from the live it looked like Riho was singing with Kanon for that line. I mean, if it's a solo I'll be super happy but I'm not sure.

It's Kanon with Riho, Zukki takes the main melody, you can see Riho singing and also hear her a bit
same with Mizuki at the 1st chorus, Sakura sounds louder at the 3rd, but the echoes are Sayumi
 
I'm not sure if the last word is a solo line and that is why you can only hear one person with the echo?
I always see this lines as solo lines (As for one day, Kimi sae Ireba) because you can barely hear the harmony, not like mixing 2 voices together, 50-50

They sing the first part together (where you can see Riho), but you can't even see Riho during the 'demo' part to say that they're singing that together.

Same line earlier verse, it's Sayu singing with someone else, and then it sounds like just Sayu for that last bit (with the echoing thing again).
