I think it's funny that you can say that an 11 year old girl may or may not be "genuinely" upset, are you her? Can you tell my just LOOKING at her that she's upset?



What if behind the scenes they feel even worse than what they showed on stage? You can't say "oh, she wasn't upset" just because she's a (as it was stated in this thread) bad crier.

Well, Nacchi was revered by them all. Everyone cried at the graduation except the usual dry-eyed suspects--Yossi and Miki.

I've always found Tsuji, despite her comical, laughing, mischievous persona on the surface, to be an extremely sensitive soul underneath. And while they all felt the loss of Nacchi (even Yossi and Miki), Tsuji seemed to feel it more deeply.

While watching the previous video it seemed like fake crying and when the DVD is out it will be pretty obvious if she was faking or not.



Of course you can tell just by looking, I'm sure she was upset of course, but did she over act the emotion......

I'm basing this on nothing other than what my Tsuji-fanatic college roommate once told me, but I heard when Tsuji was left out of the sub units (pre-Mini Moni) because she was basically awful, Nacchi helped her out or something since she was also not in a sub unit, and they became close.

And in case it's a bit tl;dr for some people, I'll summarize it because I really think it's worth reading (even if you're not a huge Ai fan).



Kanon:

She shares a story about Kanon not coming to her for help before the first concert and still not being prepared on the opening day. After the show, Kanon does come to ask her for help and says that even though she'll have to work hard to catch up to everyone else, she's growing up. She also says that Kanon seems really mature sometimes, but that she's too straight-foward and needs to watch what she says, which she think she'll do now that 10th gen are around.



Riho:

She says that she was impressed with Riho's dancing, but thought it still needed work. She worked with Riho to teach her to convey the meaning of lyrics in her dance, instead of just going through the movements. She says Riho seems to have gotten the message. She says that Riho is serious and should open up a bit more and says she's free for advice if Riho ever needs it.



Erina:

Is a crybaby. "She cries really easily and will go around saying “I bet you all hate me”." Ai tells her that no one hates her but is still a bit worried about her (although she thinks Erina will be okay). She says Erina is really blunt and needs to learn how to maintain a certain attitude depending on where she is. She tells Erina that she thinks she'll probably be a crybaby forever and that she should listen to what people tell her before trying to talk back (Erina is quick to defend herself is essentially what she's saying).



Mizuki:

A couple days before the H!P Winter concert, Ai commented to Mizuki about her haircut, and Mizuki was very happy that Ai noticed. She was so happy that it made Ai happy as well. She finally explains that the reason she cried when they announced Mizuki as a new member was because she knew how much Mizuki loved Morning Musume and was happy that she got to be member. She notes that Mizuki is a huge H!P fan and is always complimenting everyone but that Mizuki needs to remember she is a member now, and not just a fan. She tells Mizuki that even though she has the most experience out of 9th gen, she still has a lot to work on. She says Mizuki has a sexy image that Morning Musume is lacking in and that she hopes she'll be a leader for 9th gen, since she's the oldest.



Aika:

Ai talks about how she and Aika are BFFs and that they spend a lot of their time together, and that Aika is like a boyfriend. She says Aika was worried about how to treat 9th gen when they joined, and Ai told her to just do what felt right, and Aika became the strictest on the new members. Ai says that she knew whoever was strict on 9th gen early on would be hated, and she was impressed that Aika was willing to step up and be that person. She then tells Aika that she was happy when she finally called her Ai-chan and that although Aika has great fashion sense, she only wears dark colors and needs to mix it up. Ai tells Aika that she's sure she'll be leader one day and that even though Aika has said she wants to be a leader like Ai was, that she should "make Morning Musume in your own Aika way."



Reina:

She talks about Reina being cute once you get close to her. She talks about how she always thought Reina was cute and how they got to work together a lot because of their Morning Musume singing lines and because they sang together often in H!P concerts. She says Reina changed a lot when 9th gen joined, and she got to see Reina grown up with the original Reina mixed in. She's confident Reina can lead the group (she says 'lead things here'. I assume she means the group). She tells Reina that even though she seems like a lone wolf, she can tell Reina is watching over the group. She says she'll be watching as Reina leads Morning Musume on.



Sayumi:

Ai says Sayumi is always telling her she loves her, and that she's like a little sister and a pet. She's always complimenting Ai and putting herself down, but Ai thinks Sayumi has improved a lot since she joined. She says that sometimes she's not too impressed with Sayumi's singing, but at other times she's very good. And Sayumi makes sexy faces when she performs. She tells Sayu that she's very easy to work with and that Sayumi (as well as Aika) are helpful in helping her learn the dances. She hopes that Sayumi will help the rest of the group that way as well, and that her and Reina never felt like kouhais, and she hopes they both help lead the group.



Risa:

Ai says she's grateful that Risa was always there with her and that even when they fought, they were always able to make up and forgive each other. She says they have a very strong relationship and that she's grateful for all the support Risa has given her. She says she loves all the members, but that Risa is on a completely different level of special. She says that 5th gen have a very strong bond when they're together. She says that if Risa is worried about how to fix something when she becomes leader, she can always call Ai for help.

Seems to me, Takahashi chose her own front girl replacement in Airi.

This is all pretty off topic, but Aika isn't exactly bridging any gaps right now. Just because Morning Musume can currently say "there is a person who is 18!" doesn't mean much. It might look nice on paper, but it doesn't amount to anything in practice. What is it that Aika is doing right now that alleviates this great "age gap" problem?



Personally, I'd rather have her gone - but it doesn't really matter, because when she's there I never notice her.

OK YEAH was quite the Porygon episode of Pokemon. I like how they each jump up during the YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH.. part, but the group number is convenient because it's done in 8 beats, which obviously makes sense for music. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out when they add the 10th gen to the choreography. Maybe 9th and 10th will only say the yeahs. Damn, we have 8 new members of Morning Musume in one year.

I honestly didn't mean to use "u" as a word, I usually catch myself when I though. I even do it when I write on paper. I liked both performances. I hope they perform OK YEAH more I really like it and I love the faces Gaki makes when shes performing it! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I also think Mizuki does well with her solo lines that aren't supposed to be solo lines.
