Did they already announce that the Vita would be able to stream PS4 games like the Wii U controller does? If not, that's probably the announcement.

They showed that off in February with the game <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... ">Knack</a>. =P
Later on they confirmed that you can play every PS4 game on it, unless it needs special peripheral, like the new Eyetoy.

Xbox One on sale November 2013 for $499. I didn't get to see the video stream, but from The Verge's live blog, I wasn't interested in much except the Insomniac game Sunset Overdrive (was this announced as Xbox One exclusive?) and Dead Rising 3 (no mention of Xbox One exclusive). $499 is too high for my taste with all the hooplah lately. It looks like you might get a special controller if you pre-order for a day-one console.
The games seemed very Xbox-y. Lots of space warrior-types. Opening with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (reading "for Xbox One," but no mention of exclusive) is very clever. Focus just enough to say "staple MGS game on X1," but before emphasizing exclusivity.
What'd y'all think?

Games-wise that was one of THE strongest P.C.s I've ever seen. They clearly felt that they had to push out as much stuff as possible and oh boy did they deliver a lot.
They even started off with a game before some corny guy went on stage.
I wonder if Los Dead Vamos 3 will come to PC. Does look like a "no fun allowed, IT'S SERIOUS AND GRITTY YOU GET IT ??" version, though.
Disappointing that they didn't show BF4 in MP, but the SP showed off the effects and stuff pretty nice.Titanfall looked super fucking neat. It kinda affirms my impression that Activision was holding back Zampella and West at IW during the after-CoD4 time so much.

However, not adressing the issues and questions about the DRM and online stuff ? That was just despicable and coward.
500€ is too much for a console.

Most of the trailers had the None logo at the end and an "exclusive" rolling in under it.
The ones that didn't have that were very few.
Or they were really good on hiding that stuff and somehow only suggesting they were exclusive, I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, somehow Kotaku managed to become worse after he left and everything became Gawker-ized. Polygon's not so hot either though.

I guess there isn't any price I would've bought an X1, but I think if Sony doesn't fall flat on their face (a very real chance of that happening btw), I would buy a PS4 at $499. I'm sure they're very hesitant about over-pricing a console and are probably aware the major boom they could possess from the perfect storm from a similar launch window as X1, media-friendly policy and communications, and loss-leading price. I need to stop posting.

BF4 was... well, BF3 with commander mode and Battlefront 3 might be cool.
Didn't show much more about Titanfall, unfortunately.
I've missed the first ~10 mins (came when they showed some 3rd person TD clone in the PvZ universe), but did they completely ignore the Wii U !? lol

Absolutely.
The Division and The Crew (funny how the names are so similar) are both interesting ideas, Divison moreso.

It is over before it has even begun. I'm no marketing genius, but unless MS completely changes everything they've said about DRM, used games, etc. then they stand no chance. And that was BEFORE the price was announced. Hell, even without that stuff, superior hardware at a cheaper price? Game over.

Also, while you're at it, take all that stupid fucking TV stuff out of it. That should knock $100 off the price tag.

Even then, the TV junk was so cheaply done that taking it out wont do much for the price. You still need a cable box and it works via IR blaster and HDMI-in. You said it, game's been called.

Hell, at 399 (even with PS+ needed for online multiplayer), PS4 isn't just destroying X1, but also takes a big crack at PC gaming. I was seriously considering a Big Picture machine sometime this year, but between silence from Valve and tonight's announcement, I'm not interested anymore.
