I feel the no dating rule for most of their lives causes them to fall into bad relationships/be taken advantage over once they are able to date because they never went through the stupid young shit they would go through in a normal life. Either that or MM has daddy issues and seeks comfort from older Tsunkusmen.

Agreeing with Petit and Anderei on both accounts, but gonna add that I find Takahashi awesomely beautiful, talented, and cute, and would hate to see her go the Kago route relationship-wise. In short, I hope things go well for them if they're actually together, or at the very least that it doesn't go up in scandal-y flames.



In what little sense my shallowness can process when I'm this tired, I also want to add that he's ugly and so I hope she's not with him. But if he's got a great personality and is good to her, I wish them the best.

Honestly, most female Japanese celebrities, even actresses and singers, seem to always end up with guys twice their age. I've always wondered about it because it happens to often not to be a cultural thing.

Seriously. Why are people automatically assuming she's in some sort of abnormal, messed up, weird relationship when all we have are some pictures and the guy's age? Female idols spend a lot of time working with comedians and older male actors on variety TV, radio, and plays. If those are the men she's around most, it's natural for her to develop relationships, romantic or otherwise, with those people. Just because Takahashi herself is beautiful doesn't mean she's vain and has to date some super hot young male celebrity.

May-December relationships are fine and dandy when both parties are still young.... but once both begin aging and entering the latter stages of life, the "minor" thing like age becomes a "major". Not saying Ai will marry this man, but saying that is the problem I have with May-December relationships.
