Omg Mizuki's Some Boys TOUCH... Oh my god. Hahaha but sadly she didn't choose it herself. Manipulated by her manager, poor princess XD

I felt it was fitting for Eripon to sing Yowamushi, since a weak singer like Sayumi (and her beloved Niigaki) was chosen to sing the original. Eripon's Vibratto (? was it that?) sounded nice, though? =o It must mainly be her pitch and stamina, huh?

I found it hilarious how Mizuki's Some Boys TOUCH was age-locked.

(Oho, luckily I have ways around that)

But yeah, Eripon sounded good with her vibrato. I was suprised by that for sure, but to be honest, I haven't really heard her much on anything since Aisaretai no ni, and that was almost 2 years ago.

The Best Of video is available again (it was gone for most of today), and while enjoyable, I dunno.... Some things felt off. Wish they had sang some of the "updated" older songs, but I get that they want to promote the new MM as well. Won;t even mention lines except that Oda stunned me once again, as did Ayumi. And that Riho has some stamina. At first I didn't recognize Oda because she had her bangs down and long, though. Kanon also looked charming with her hair down :3

Eripon's main problem is that she bad pitch. She knows it though I'm sure, Riho even told her before on a radio show.
But she'll have that random note that sounds really nice.

The only reason I can imagine for it to be age-locked is if Mizuki and Haruka are talking dirty to each other in their dialogue after the number, although I wouldn't be able to tell if they were. But there's nothing in Mizuki's dance that's anywhere near as suggestive as the average C-ute video in the last couple of years. She's basically trying to imitate Maki's moves, rather clunkily if you ask me and without much in the way of rehearsal. It's clear that her heart--and her body--are not in it. I suspect her singing would have sounded much better if she didn't have to move around so much. Riho would have nailed the moves, of course, but I really don't want to see a 15-year-old doing suggestive dance moves in front of that crowd. (Or any crowd, for that matter.) For the record, Maki was 21 when "Some Boys! Touch" first came out.

Poor hime..Her eyes still have the pure look in it. She is not at the age of Maki or Miyabi or Takahashi when they performed it yet. As young as Mai hagiwara may have been able to perform it because her eyes has already turned from pure to sexy, but Mizuki is not ready yet. Whoever chose this song for her must have wanted her to break out of her shell and become more sexy but that is not the image I want of her at all.

It's the only performance of that song I know but I think she managed quite well.. But at the beginning she didn't sing loud enough.

I am assuming this will of course be the Japanese version of the game, making it much more difficult for me to obtain. And I wouldn't be able to play it if I did get it because it will most likely be region locked.

Okay, so, from watching the birthday event (Thanks for the link, btw), I think I've found why sometimes Kanon's voice doesn't work for me.

With the first 30 seconds or so of singing, Kanon will make numerous mistakes. It takes her a bit to work up to where she sings well. Within the beginning, her timing can be off, as well. Obviously, this doesn't work so well when, normally, in a MM song you'd get a line as a solo. So for that ONE line, you need to be able to get it correct right away.
She seems to do the best with Ayaya songs.. Not sure if it's because Aya's voice is powerful when she sings, and so Kanon is able to sing full out or if it's just in an agreeable pitch. I personally think that it's more that she's able to put her big voice into a powerful song. I'd like to hear her sing some Risako lines =o

In Kanon's event, at 41:41 Masaki sounds less nasal than usual (thus more pleasant than usual). She yells a little bit, but that is fine for me.
