Way to ruin what should have been an awesome event, Tsunku. They went from happy to depressed in a matter of seconds. Also, no message from Sayu, which was bullshit since she adores S/mileage. Then again, maybe she knew and would have nothing to do with this farce.

What Tsunku should have done if he REALLY felt like messing with this group and wanted a second coming of Morning Musume was to have the auditions much sooner. A YEAR Tsunku, It's been a YEAR!



Not only will the girl have a complex, she'll also be very underdeveloped when it comes to everything S/mileage has been trained for, for how many damn years they've been eggs. Unless they find another Riho. But I wanted that other Riho in Morning Musume so unless magic unicorns and poop out twins one or the other group is going down with a crappy member attached to it.

As long as no on graduates I'll be fine, but you know adding new girls in only brings about crap like that so I'm fearful. (Don't you DARE touch anyone but Ayaka Tsunku!)

Since H!P was kind of born again after killing off the old women, I think S/mileage would be more of the Taiyo to CiscoMoon than the Melon Kinenbi. Especially since they already had a name change (at least how it's written) They better learn to do flips and sing really high.

Now I know how Kei, Mari and Sayaka must have felt. 1st Gen of Morning Musume, did all this hard work selling their indie CD and then BAM Tsunku goes and adds these three new girls who get a comfortable cushie new group to alienate with their newness.

I don't think lack of vocals will be a problem. S/mileage have all trained for a long time, but none of them are stellar singers that a new girl couldn't ever catch up to.

They may not have amazing voices (although personally I like their voices), but they are good singers. There's a difference. I was watching that Ustream live and their live singing is really good imo. They sound as good as the CD (but you can tell they aren't lip synching). You can't put someone like Eripon or Sayu (no matter how much I love them) in S/mileage. Even Dawa sings better than Sayu. And Dawa has really improved since the beginning.

I suppose some competition within the group could be positive the way it was for early MM. I guess S/milage will end up like all of the other groups now with a few girls who get more lines than everyone else. Even with 5 members and much more even line distribution in the last few singles, C-ute still features Airi and Maimi a bit more than the others. S/mileage is the only group in H!P that has consistently had pretty even line distribution.



What's "missing" in S/mileage, Tsunku, is really good music. Their last couple of singles and that first album have been kind of meh. Not terrible, not great. If adding a new girl will somehow help that (without displacing Kanon <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dammit.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' /> ) then I guess I don't mind as much.



Can someone explain this "sub member" concept Tsunku is talking about? Was that elaborated on anywhere? I'm hoping there's some sort of distinction from the way MM does auditions, just to keep things interesting. A copycat group of MM is just too been there done that.

I don't really like the idea because auditions are more of a morning musume thing, but I'm not gonna hate on this, it could turn out awesome the girls are today now because its like being an only child then getting told that your parents are having another kid. Its hard to accept, but after a while you don't mind.

I hope this is the one idea that crashes and burns and completely turns the fans against him (or whatever shadowy entity is pulling the strings). There's no way in hell I'm supporting a "S/mileage" single that doesn't include all four of the REAL members.

The weekly thing in Shibuya is just for the auditions. They're holding the auditions each weekend in June. In the commentary video, they point to a line on the poster that says "Tsunku and S/mileage will come?" implying that they may make an appearance during some of the audition days.



I'm with PQ in hoping that the rotating member idea never actually happens. There certainly is plenty of precedent in H!P for auditions not turning out as originally planned (Lucky 7, New Unit auditions that produced Miyoshi Erika "the soloist", Kansai group auditions that produced a group that never debuted). Of course there is also plenty of precedent for this becoming the next big thing that pisses everyone off. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />

I'm not just saying this because I'm a Saho oshi, and I know she's in (the temporary group) UFG, but I think Saho would be a really good choice.



1)She's a former egg

2)She's good friends with them already, especially Yuuka proof more Therefore she'd be more accepted by them, and Dawa won't have to worry about training a new member

3)She would be accepted more by fans (because she's a former egg and in Shugo Chara Egg! with them, and because she already got shafted when S/mileage was made)

4)She can sing and dance well



But no matter how much I wish it, Tsunku never does anything good with Akari ;_;

I guess we'll just have to wait to see who this new girl is.
