No, it's because I liked the 4 of them together. And my favorite member of all of H!P was Yuukarin, and now she's gone, so there's not much holding me to this group.

That's pretty easy to say, but this is a big part of what makes fans stop following groups (favorite members leaving). I know that's part of what happened to MM...

I like the new members, but I'm just into the group anymore.

When all this member changeup business started, I was really down on it and thought it was going to be the final nail in the coffin for me. For me, the quality of S/mileage's songs sharply went downhill after Yume Miru 15. The only new tracks on the album were totally grating, they had totally moved away from that soft, sweet, and cute 2nd-gen Tanpopo style they had going on with their indies tracks, and Kanon and Saki's voices were merging into one shout-sung voice, and they just generally weren't interesting enough for me to care about. Then after they already had all these singles out and had won best new artist...Tsunku suddenly decides they're going to be the new MM. Oh and five seconds later, someone's leaving. I was so over it.



But then S/mileage put out one awesome single with the original four, which made me want to hear the next one. Tachiagaaru turned out to be a fantastic song, but visually it was stupid. The sub member costumes totally clashed with the original three, and the PV looked absurd with them jumping up and down barely seen behind the original three who had their faces shoved into the camera. It looked kind of like the female Exile. Then they announce surprise, everyone gets to be a member and we're coming out with a song with a stupid title and oh yeah one more original girl is leaving, you don't know who this group is anymore.



But THEN the song turned out to be awesome, the PV was adorable, and all of the new girls had talent and a ton of personality. Now I'm actually excited to watch S/mileage footage on Hello Pro Time and I look forward to their new releases again. No, it's certainly not original S/mileage. That group is dead. I look at this basically as an entirely new group, and enjoy it plenty that way.

I'm actually pretty pleased with S/Mileage when it comes to their recent music. Uchoten Love and Post-woman were fantastic, and I really liked Tachiagaaru (it was really hurt by its PV and sub-members in the back concept).



People seem to be bashing Chottomate, but I think it's a catchy, fun song. It's not a masterpiece, but not all the songs have to be one.



A lot of fans, I suspect, are just unhappy that their oshimen left, and I think they're taking it on the songs.

Also, the remixes now annoy me more than the cover songs. Why on earth would anyone want to buy an expensive LE to get a remix? H!P isn't exactly known for their amazing remixes. It's a blatant acceptance of the fact that wota will buy all the LEs no matter what they put on them and a big stamp of "we didn't bother even trying to sell this to someone else." <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /frown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':frown:' />

This song is totally not what I was expecting from the dance preview. I really like it! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /weeeh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' /> The video is super cute. Kanana is so silly. I love how they played on her trouble with dancing to make it adorable. She is the only one who had no previous experience, isn't she?



They all have improved so much! (I'm not sure asking them to do falsettos was the right thing to do on the part of the producers/management/Tsunku.)



I thought I was going to to have to try really hard to like new S/mileage, but they're just too dang cute to dislike.



I think they did a pretty decent job with line distribution, too. That's one thing I've always liked about S/mileage. I think I got spoiled with them, so now I think the line distribution should be more even in MM. (Either that, or I just tend to pick the members who aren't front girls to be my favorites. More Rinapuu and Kanana, please!)



But, umm... what's with the windshield splats? Kana's face! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> OK. I'm done fan-girling out.



I think part of my reaction is just relief this isn't Pyoco-Puke-o Suck-o. Yeah, the outfits seem like they're reused, but at least they aren't chickens.

Wow, Meimi is a totally different person in this PV. She looks taller, thinner, and her face looks so different with this hair. I'm sure the first two are an illusion though. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> Her voice even sounds deeper! I'm not complaining about that though. She still has her crazy spaz-ness going, which makes me happy.



Overall it's a really cute PV. Yes, it's the standard H!P formula, but I think the set is cute and the girls are full of energy so it works. I love the song too, minus the high notes. All three girls are singing in falsetto and it's not pretty. Otherwise adorable and perfect S/mileage material.

The writing on the glass wall made no sense to me. Other then that, PV was awesome just for the fact they let Kana be clueless and flawed and awesome. Surprisingly I think Dawa was the only one that didn't seem so very strained with her high notes.



Now please, can someone tell me why Rina is still there? I think the only time I noticed her was when her face splatted against the screen.

I love this video!! It's adorable, but I can't believe Dawa does a falsetto I never thought she would. I agree Meimi looks totally different in this!! It may just be the bangs or how she's constantly flying around the screen but it's something.

Kanana & Meimi are adorable~

Though I have to say this feels like a whole new group to me still.

The high notes sound much better recorded, and the sung lines sounded a bit shouty in the live, so it all sounds better here!



Though poor Rina seems so out of place somehow. I think she needs heavier eye make up. Double lids and some tsukema would do her wonders. And maybe a new hair style. I've seen such cute pictures of her before, but she's gotten less cute in S/mileage :/

Kanana is the best thing to happen to S/Mileage :3. I knew she would be my favorite after they all got chosen as sub members. The song is such an ear worm, although the falsettos aren't necessary.
