Going through the C-ute history from the website they set up for this release is very nostalgic. I love that they added videos, especially of stuff I've never seen. Good job UFA, you did it right this time.



I miss Megumi. So far they are up to 2009.

The single debut at #3 on the Oricon charts with 28,455 singles sold. Not bad for a first day.

Those first day sales are actually pretty incredible. They are pretty much equal to Ai-chan's farewell single for Momusu.



Not entirely clear to me why the sales are so high. I don't think this single had as much promotion as the last one, which sold around 17K its first day.



Anyway, I'm happy for them, C-ute has always been the least appreciated group in H!P until recently.

Kanashiki Heaven is my b-side of the year. Everything about it rocks my socks. Aitai is great too, but Kanashiki Heaven is euphoric!





The acoustic guitar and the large amounts of Chisato are my favorite things about it. And actually, Tsunku did this song, didn't he? I wonder if he got the idea after doing a duet with a certain person for his acoustic-themed album... <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' /> Man Tsunku, start writing more awesome stuff like this.

I never realized how much Chisato/Airi love was in Kanashiki Heaven. Since I half listened to the radio-rip then my computer died and then the radio rip disappeared so I forgot about it.



I'm like, so beyond happy after listening to it like a bazillion times. If Mai, Maimi and Saki weren't in the song I'd have had my perfect Airi-Chisato duet that I've been craving since forever.

I kind of forgot about this single, but I do like the songs! I think I got distracted by the MM auditions.



I love it when they use harmony in H!P songs, and I think the dance for Kanashiki Heaven was really interesting without taking away from the vocals. It reminds me of a lot of the recent Buono songs, but the harmony isn't quite as jarring here.



Chisato is easily one of my favorite H!P members vocally. I love how much attention she seems to be getting recently.

They definitely are a great vocal pairing. The song hasn't grown on me yet though. I really like Aitai Aitai Aitai Na though, it's become one of my favorite C-ute songs. This is pretty damn good for a b side though!

Just checked out this song and the b-side after a bunch of people called it one of their singles of the year in my recent ranking threads. Really can't get into either song, just sounds like typical modern Tsunku crap where the composition has no sense of progression and it uses grating, phony-sounding instrumentation to play the main melody. Boo
