What the..... Haruna is socially awkward???



The exact opposite is true, she speaks sooooo well in front of camera, her special skill is paying people compliments and Japanese people LOOOOVE it, I can see her being the next Sayumi and Farrah..



You clearly have a short memory, when Sayumi first joined she couldn't dance AT. ALL. there were screams, tears and tantrums about it.



This very board was full of people bitching about Sayumi, she can't sing, she can't dance, she's too shy in front of camera etc etc



Haruna has so far performed WAAAYYY better than Sayumi did during her first year, if you don't believe me go on youtube and find some 6th gen audition videos.

But let us not turn this thread into a Haruna only thread people. She's still inexperienced, she'll get it eventually.

I've seen the 6th gen audition videos, Rob. I still think Sayu was better. -shrug- I think Haruna literally lacks any sort of rhythm or comfort with her body. Kanon also got shit for not dancing well in auditions but she's still not bad enough for people to bitch about it. It takes a special kind of suck to gain a reputation for bad dancing in H!P :P

As far as Haruna speaking well, in general, I've found her TV appearances to be kind of boring. She always has a deer-in-headlights look in her eyes, as well, which will probably wear off with time, but I would hardly call her a natural born TV personality. She's nice and polite but she either has very little personality or is too scared to show much of it on shows like Youngtown, etc.



I don't want people to think I have it out for Haruna. I just think she's kind of useless - and hey, there has always been a useless member or two in the line up! Hell, I think Riho was a somewhat useless addition, too - she can dance but that's a pretty useless skill in a group like Momusu. I'm not gonna pretend I wouldn't trade Haruna for someone that could sing, but I can understand why people like her. I actually think her fail at dancing is pretty endearing.
