Hell yes! I love Osaka. I was surprised at how well she did, though. I honestly didn't expect it to be good. She didn't sound this good from what I remember when J=J started, but this group is turning into a powerhouse if she can improve that much in such a short time.

Also, I love the fact that they are actually giving the girls who can sing the songs where you need to sound good and the girls that aren't that great the hyper-fun-doesn't-really-matter songs.

Agh, the Kanon^2 video was removed, and that was the one I was most looking forward to! So glad I've gotten hear all that I have in all of these so far, though. Will have to listen to the downloads later when I get the chance. Seems to be one hell of a concert they're pulling out, here. Two concerts in a day? As far as I know this is unusual, right? Anyway, I've been loving the units ;3

I'm excited to hear Egao ni Namida just to hear if Yuka's improved as much as Akari.

Yuka has a really stable voice but I doubt she'll sound as good as Akari.  Akari had a much better vocal tone to work with even if her pitch was way less stable.  In general, C-ute and J=J are the strongest H!P groups vocally right now.

Aren't Berryz a strong group vocally too ?

Well, in my opinion, although Risako/Miyabi/Momoko are vocally very strong, the "bad" singers in Berryz (Saki/Maasa/Chinami) have shown less improvement than the "bad" singers in C-ute or J=J. Plus, I would say Airi is a better singer than Miyabi or Risako as far as controlling her voice (as in, she tends to make less little mistakes than the other two). Mostly I've noticed that Berryz can be very, very, very pitchy live. That said, in general I feel that H!P groups are vocally superior to most other idol groups I've heard.  I have a good friend who loves lots of indie and very unknown idol groups and most of them are... not so easy on the ears, even when they have good songs, LOL.

The DE-HA MiX solos on 1/18 were performed by Mizuki (Tsuugaku Vector), Tomoko (Ai no Dangan), and Kana (Egao ni Namida ~THANK YOU! DEAR MY FRIENDS~). The Riho-Mai duet (Kiseki no Kaori Dance) became a Riho solo because Mai is out with the flu.

At least they started after the concert filming for dvd so it's all good. No mass exodus like last years event where half the project was out ill.
 
First post has been updated. We're almost through the H!P solo list so I wonder who will be the luck ones to get a 2nd solo in this tour? Do you think they will repeat songs or give some of the girls different solo songs?

Those solos are a really good opportunity to discover everyone's voice in my opinion ^^.

I only downloaded Sayuki's to see how well she would do. She was a little shakey at first but by the end, it was great. Everyone who has done Sayonara above seems like one of or the best singers in the respective groups. Risako also did it if I remember correctly. Jishin seems like the other...


EDIT: Also Sakura's... I thought I heard it before but do not think so. I feel like she sounds like Miki at the end of her phrases. I wish she had more solos.

Sayonara is one of the easiest to sing though. Hard to impress unless one has very good voice.

I love Ayumi and I will be the first to say she can't sing, but I am super impressed by her Ai no Dangan.  I am so glad she didn't butcher one of my all time favorite songs.

Sakura's Sayonara Tomodachi ni ha Naritakunai no - Oh my christ can she be more perfect?
Masaki and Meimi's RoboKiss....I hated this.  Like I love Meimi's voice usually but even she couldn't drown out how horrific Masaki was here.  Ugh.

OK so I am for the most part impressed with 9th gen solos.  Although I think Kiseki no Kaori dance was the better choice for Riho.  Zukki started off rough and I was worried but she saved herself.  Even Eripon totally held her own.
