Wow, an H!P act being on the direct label of a big label is big news. Especially since zetima/whatever is under Sony BMG IIRC. I've gotta say, it shows hutzpah to pull an AKB move with this release and I think they really want Kikkawa to work out well.

I almost wish they wouldn't do that AKB stuff, cause Kikka doesn't need to stoop that low, and it makes her look like less of a "real artist". But I guess it's a small complaint, I'm very excited about the fact that she's on Universal! That seems to indicate a high level of dedication to her, at least I hope. The A-side sounds okay from the preview, but not too exciting yet, but the lead could change everything.

I haven't been in this thread in a while, but I'm unbelievably happy with the direction UFA is taking with Kikkawa. I'm not sure how the Universal contract (?) will work if there is one that lasts longer than this "single" release.



1. Fuck you, Universal/UFA/whoever for doing that avex shit and having 5 million single versions for all those different songs.

2. Fuyuzora Hanabi is absolutely amazing. UFA really needed an artist like this whose music fits well into mainstream, more mature pop. More mature =/= emo, and Kikka is proving this nicely.

3. I love you, Kikka. Release an album with Fuyuzora Hanabi and Sayonara Namida so I don't have to submit to avex-style consumerism and buy two versions of the same damn single.

It reminds me of old H!P videos and makes me feel nostalgic. It's really sweet though, I love her dress, the color palette, and the old television prop (I want!). I'm not really feeling the balls, reminds me too much of urine smells wafting from the playpens at the mall. The dance is adorable, her facial expressions are adorable, and her smile reminds me of Nacchi's because it has the super sweet feel behind it. (though no smile can compare to Nacchi's hahaha) Great debut performance.



I'm not feeling the song as the a-side because I like Fuyuzora and Sayonara more than Kikkake. It's like they went for the vanilla instead of trying to pop out with the mint green tea flavor. Kikkake isn't a bad song, but it's not great either. It's...typical idol stuff. Nothing that feels as special as Fuyuzora.



Whee, related videos gave me this performance of Romantic Ukare Mode. She sounds so much like Miki in this I am now super excited about her career instead of just excited. :P
