Erina is so odd to watch on stage with her really... I don't know, limp dances? But she's undeniably cute on stage with her enthusiasm otherwise. I'm happy Riho's not turning out to be the cold genius despite all my predictions that's what she'd do. The wink segment with Ai was cute as all get out. Towards the end of the concert, Mizuki was talking really fast and seemed jittery, so I think that's what happens when she actually gets excited, and if so.... too freaking cute!! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Zukki is perfect as always.
All in all, I'm happy 9th gen is turning out so well, especially with this being their first concert which happened so soon after becoming idols. I was worried pushing them into the spotlight so prematurely would stunt their growth as idols, but it seems to be doing them a world of good. Maybe this approach will actually prevent future Aikas after all, though it's odd since she was initially pushed into the limelight for a good while (Egao YES! Nude, Onna ni Sachi Are).

She was pushed slightly then After ONSA her and JunLin got pushed wayyyyy to the back to where that slight push didn't help her.
Also uhm. Was "Only you" an extra? It suddenly came up on the Tudou link and surprised me.
Disappointed that RoboRisa isn't really Risa live. :c
[Only you] was part of the encore. Also, remember that the single's release was originally May 18th. This performance was from around May 3rd (I think), so it makes sense that it appeared.
Back to Sayumi lipsynching in Fantasy ga Hajimaru, she is definitely singing during the quiet solo part that comes right before Takahashi starts wailing for the finale. Also, I hear her live voice in the last line.
I think Ai looks great in this concert and I actually like her hair, BUT there are some quick scenes where I see Ron Weasley on stage. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I was excited to see Motto Aishite Hoshii no. The performance was good, but I wasn't crazy about the outfits, and the choreography seemed less interesting than when they showed the new girls learning it. Interesting to see the Ikuta does the OOOHs and Sayashi does one of the later AHHs.
I think the outfits worked with the Medley of Sad MM with Violins Era songs.

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
I'm Lucky Girl, Sungoi My Birthday (less for the song and more for Aika/Kanon although Mizuki did impress me during the entire concert), and the Love Machine/Ikimasshoi!/RR21 medley were my favorite performances.
This tour had quite a bit of Aika. I'm probably the only person who is happy about this but still, my reaction:
![Image](http://studentwebs.columbusstate.edu/hood_chris/202239_awesome_face.jpg)
12th album tour is probably going to be a whole lot of Reina/Riho/Risa/maybeonelucky10thgengirl. UFA seems to think that turning every song into a three or four girl song is a winning plan, so I doubt it will change even if Ai's gone.
Oh, but we will get an extra medley from this tour on the Blu-Ray.
Blu-ray Bonus Footage
Medley
Naichau Kamo (泣いちゃうかも)
Shouganai Yume Oibito (しょうがない 夢追い人)
Onna ni Sachi Are (女に 幸あれ)

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
I just finished watching my DVD of this concert and I wanted to get my thoughts down while it was fresh. And the verdict is:
Awesome! 9th Gen hits it out of the park in their concert debut!
They impressed me from the start, showing off exactly the right spirit and verve, but they truly won me over seven songs in with their rendition of “Suki na Senpai.” Erina is my favorite of the four and if she keeps up this pace, she’ll be my favorite of the entire group by the end of the year, once Ai-chan leaves. Riho is easily the best new dancer in H!P since the H!P Kids came of age. She holds her own with Ai and Risa in “Moonlight Night,” even though some of the dance moves they give her are somewhat inappropriate for a girl her age—but damned if she doesn’t pull them off.
Has any other debuting generation gotten this much attention and play in their first concert? If I recall correctly, in the Spring 2000 MM concert we hardly knew 4th Gen was there.
The five veteran members were all great. The numbers they did together on their own were all wonderful. They’re so perfectly attuned to each other. The energy level was high for everyone throughout the concert and the new girls fit in just fine. The costumes were great. The songs were well-chosen, with lots of fresh material mixed in with exactly the right older numbers (e.g. “Ikimasshoi” and “Renai Revolution”). I loved “The Manpower,” the best rendition of it in years--Ai and Risa really work it.
The only thing that troubled me was the failure to give the new girls proper introductions by name until the very end (at the 100-minute mark in a 116-minute concert). They mention the new gen in the first MC segment but they don’t identify the girls nor do they ask any but Mizuki to speak. I don’t know what she said.
I’ll be doing a longer piece on my blog within a day or two.

5th gen probably have the most screentime + actual singing. But unlike all the other generations, they had a full album they were included on before their first concert. 9th gen are still primarily backup dancers outside of their special performances.

That's right, it was at the H!P winter concerts. They gave them quite a big welcome there so that counts. I'd forgotten about that.
@Anderei: Yes! 5th Gen made quite a splash in their first concert. I believe it was the Spring 2002 Love is Alive concert, still one of my all-time favorites.

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
Yeah, and they performed every single song from the 4th album except for Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru. Gave 5th gen a real chance to shine. Especially Makoto, Hajimete no Rock Concert being her one and only time to shine.
It's actually not one of my favorite concerts, but it's also one of the few I haven't been able to find in HQ quality on Y!T, although I've found pretty good quality for most of the others (except the 04 concerts. Never could find good rips of those).

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
I could probably find them very cheap, local book off has loads of H!P dvds going cheap.
There's also a whole shelf of H!P but it's right below the gravure stuff and I don't want to look like a foreign perv!

I have the Spring 2002 MM Concert on both VHS and DVD. I often see it on the DVD shelf in Book Off. I forget how much they charge, either $15 or $20.

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
My review of the Spring 2011 concert is up on my blog.
No screen grabs this time, since I'm working from home on an ancient computer that doesn't have that capacity. When I return to my office after my vacation, I'll be able to resume that practice.

Re: New Genesis Fantasy DX Morning Musume Concert
The Naichau Kamo, Shouganai Yume Oibito, Onna ni Sachi Are medley from the Blu-Ray edition of Fantasy DX.
I think it's the best out of all three medleys.
