I remember that someone mentioned on another site that there was an article about her (I guess it was this one?) and afterwards one of her albums was #2 on the Japanese iTunes.

How hard is it to see any of the OG in concert/ live events?  I'm not sure if this thread is the right place to ask. I never really looked into it and am not part of any fan club so...

When are you going to Japan? I don't know how hard it would be to get tickets, but Kei/Rika/Yossie/Risa are having a concert in February.

Not for a while and Feb is too short notice anyhow. I would plan a trip around a dinner show, if I could get in.
 
Related question: has anyone ever written a letter to any of the radio shows? Sometimes I listen to Abe's and it seems pretty straight forward.

If you go to the website of whoever broadcasts it, they should have a page for the show and there's usually a place to submit there. You write your message and fill out some info. For Abe's though, it looks like you just do a regular email?
