I thought I replied to this when you originally post about it, but apparently I only did that in my head >.> SO. Honestly, this sounds awful. The storyline sounds like one of those dark-themed fairy tales. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I don't see how a plot like that could really lend itself to having lots of suspense ala Lost. I predict it'll be like most other Jdramas where the big twist comes at the end and most of the other episodes are average on the suspense level. I guess it could surprise me and turn out like Maou, who knows. Takki and Ryo aren't really cast members that attract me to watch anything though.

Oh, and at the very last concert (not mine, I went to the 2nd to last one), Kamisen came out as guests and announced Coming Century Tour 2009 <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... prised.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':omg:' /> So many fans have been waiting for this so I'm happy that they've finally announced it! The first Kamisen Tour in 6 years!!

It's so weird how Tonisen has done so much more than Kamisen despite Kamisen being the popular ones. I saw V6 has a new single coming out too! I like that they're not even on the regular edition cover <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sad:' /> The bonus CD on the limited edition sounds really cool though, I'm especially anxious to hear the song Ohashi Takuya from Sukima Switch composed.



Aaand Tokio's just sitting around doin a good job hangin out. They're pretty much the only JE group that has yet to release a single or album this year, not counting SMAP since they never release anything anyway. Technically Tackey&That Other Guy haven't released anything either, but that's just because they're embracing the fact that no one cares about Tsubasa.

TOKIO might finally have a new single coming out. Nagase is slated for a drama this summer. It's supposed to be a spy-comedy. The rumor is that his bond-girl/love interest will be Fukada Kyoko. NEWS' Tegoshi will also have a drama this season where he plays the eldest son of a molester.

In other news, Arashi's latest single Crazy Moon ~Kimi wa Muteki~ / Ashita no Kioku has beat the first day sales of both truth and Believe! I'm not much of a numbers/rankings follower, but it's kind of crazy how they just keep selling more and more. It'll be interesting to see if it drops off after the first day, or just continues on like this and outsells Believe. I've been trying to wait for my copy to come in before giving either song much of a listen, but both PVs are out here and here. From what I watched briefly with the sound off and have read, Crazy Moon seems to be mainly a dance shot, and Ashita seems reminiscent of Aozora Pedal.

JE has announced the debut of a new group. The article I read this in says it's the first JE debut since Hey! Say! JUMP two years ago, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a temporary unit or not. The information about their release is listed in the Johnny's Jr. section of the official JE site, so they may just be a special Juniors unit for a drama. (source)



The group is called "Nakajima Yuma with B. I. Shadow," and consists of (obviously) Nakajima Yuma (a Kansai Jr. who's sister is in SI☆NA) and the four juniors that make up B. I. Shadow: Kouchi Yuugo, Nakajima Kento, Kikuchi Fuuma, and Matsumura Hokuto. Their single will be called "Akuma na Koi" and it comes out on 7/15. It's the theme song for a drama Nakajima is starring in, "Koi shite Akuma ~Vampire☆Boy." Does....anyone care about any of these people? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

Project Kansai members and they pretty much do nothing. I think they do some events and stuff, and possibly even have their own radio show? But they haven't released anything. Edit: In totally unrelated news, Morimoto Ryutaro has a male stalker.. The guy has been following him around and eventually confronted him, saying he had a knife and was going to cut him. Morimoto took out his phone to call for help and the guy stole it. Apparently Morimoto is so cool he has two phones, so Stalker Guy called his other phone and asked for a meet up. Police went to the meet up, questioned the guy, and arrested him. According to JE, this is the first time a stalker of one of their talents has been arrested.

That's strange that people keep calling it their first, it's not even their first singles collection (their first best album was all of the a- and b-sides from their singles on Pony Canyon). Sadly it only has one new song, which will be on both editions. The limited edition has a bonus CD with 10 songs picked by the members, kind of like KinKi's 39.

That would be really awesome. Lots of JE releases lately - Koichi is getting a new single, Kamisen is getting a mini album, Tegomasu is getting a single AND an album, and there's that special unit single on the way.



To clarify the special unit news from before, it looks like there's no official "debut" afterall. The single will be a double a-side featuring two different groups. Nakayama Yuuma w/ B.I. Shadow (the unit mentioned before) and NYC, which is made up of two HSJ kids and some juniors. The single has about 5000 different covers, so I guess these kids are popular?

TOKIO finally has a new single coming out! It's a double a-side called "Taiyou to Sabaku no Bara / Subeki Koto." Subeki Koto is written by Joshima and composed by Taichi. One of the b-sides, "Chikai" is also written and composed by Joshima. There will be PVs for both a-sides on each of the limiteds, and another Tokio Station.

SMAP is getting a new single too, on 8/26, called "Sotto Gyutto." So Dots is putting out a new single as....Dots! He's back to being Domoto Tsuyoshi. Expect long emo explaination of this latest name change to follow. He's still not giving up on funk though, there's an extra b-side called FUNK SE○SSION on the RE, and the b-side for both editions is supposed to be a funk number as well. The single is called "RAIN" but that's just the artsy Dots title. The main track on both versions is called "Sunday Morning." The actual song Rain is the extra b-side on the LE and it's an instrumental.

5 years late, but if you have the chance Jessi you should definitely go to Korea! Make a vacation out of it, see V6 one day and take the rest of the time to explore the country. Back more on topic, everyone should check out the new track on Arashi's Best of album that's out (I'll throw it up in the audio/video section later today). The track is called 5x10 and is very.... everything that turns me to mush in a song. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> It's similar to the song they made for their 5th anniversary, Sketch, in that the whole song is "rap" by all of the members. Not rap in the typical sense, but that sort of Hana-by-Orange-Range style talk rap. It's a dedication to the fans, but it's not full of references the way Sketch was.



They leave those for the hidden track on the regular edition which is attached to the end of that 5x10 file I uploaded. The hidden track is....fun? It's kind of hard to describe. The "chorus" parts are all autotuned out while the rest of it is rap (actual rap this time). Except...it's sort of done silly on purpose. It's full of references to old Arashi songs and is generally sort of a silly-fun bonus. I imagine it'll become the new Fight Song in concerts.

Kanjani8 AND KinKi Kids are getting new singles!



Kanjani's single is called 急☆上☆Show!! (Kyuu Jou Show!!) and comes in 3 editions - 2 CD+DVD limiteds and a regular edition. The main b-side is called "Hitotsu no Uta," and the extra 2 b-sides on the regular edition are "Brilliant Blue" and "cinematic." The single comes out on 11/4.



Sadly though, practically a third of Kanjani8 is out or has recently been out with the flu. I'm not quite sure of all the details, but it looks like Ryo (and Yamapi over in News?) had it, and now Yasu, Ohkura, and Yoko have it. I read that Ohkura tested negative for type-A influenza (I guess that's swine flu?) and Yasu tested positive for it, but he says he's on the mend. It seems the flu is hitting the Japanese celebrity crowd pretty hard this year =/



KinKi's new single is called "Swan Song" and comes out 10/28. It comes in two editions - both include the b-side "サマルェカダス ～another oasis～" (I...have no idea what that katakana is supposed to be), regular edition also has the track "Omokage" while the LE has the track "Shinku no Hana."



Lots of other artists have shit coming out too:



Arashi's doing the theme song for Aiba and Hina's drama My Girl, and it's called....My Girl! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' /> The single comes in two editions, RE and LE. Both include the b-side "Tokeijikake Umbrella" which will feature some Sakurap. The LE has a DVD with the PV for My Girl on it, and the RE will come with karaoke tracks and a bonus yet-to-be-titled b-side. Single comes out 11/11. They're also releasing a PV collection DVD called "5x10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009" which will have all of their PVs ever released, including the anime version of Believe. That comes out 10/28.



Yamapi is getting his second single on 11/18 called "Loveless." It doesn't say anything about it being a theme for anything so...I guess Yamapi is just pulling a Tackey and acknowleging that he's the only one in his group that anyone cares about. The single comes in 3 editions: RE, LE A and LE B. RE has the b-sides "Crush On You," "DanceJam," and "After the Rain." LE A has the b-side "Run From You" and the Loveless PV + Making of. LE B has b-sides "Run From You," "Me," and a yet-untitled track. He could practically release an album with all these b-sides.



Matchy is releasing a single called "-MOTTO-" on 12/13. One edition only, b-side is still untitled. Does anyone care?

I'm glad that you're being active and actually joining discussions outside of the Data Section, but keep these things in mind when you post:



- Periods. They go at the end of sentences.



- Capital letters. They go at the beginning of sentences, and the word "I" is always capitalized.
