I'm glad that you're being active and actually joining discussions outside of the Data Section, but keep these things in mind when you post:

- Periods. They go at the end of sentences.

- Capital letters. They go at the beginning of sentences, and the word "I" is always capitalized.

[/quote]

I am sorry. It is not like that in my native language so it is hard to remember that all the times. I will try my best to fit and, if should fail again, I swear I will stop posting here altogether. I really did not intent to upset anyone. My English is so bad, I am terribly sorry for making you even go off topic to remind me of that...

Don't freak out, no one's upset. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' /> No one's asking you to have perfect English, especially when it's not your native language, just to remember the rules of the forum and to make an effort to follow the basics of English grammar when you post.

I'm sorry for freaking out. And I swear I'm trying my best to not only remember but also follow the forum rules! (And the ones for English language).

Well, I have already made this thread go too off-topic. Sorry (again)!

But I don't have any news on Johnny's for now to compensate; so I will just share that I was reading what you people were talking about - that Nakayama Yuma had a sister in SI☆NA (and I had no idea of that). So, there I was all jubilant at that fact when I finally noticed that Nana has already graduate (I mean, I knew her, I knew - a bit of - him but never associated neither). Unfortunately, Wiki has confirmed that and well, no more family bonds between Johnnies and H!P for now (that I know). Yes, that sounds silly, but I am sad. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sideways:' />

Did anyone watch Music Station?! I watched it without knowing any of the guests beforehand and I was surprised to see KIS-MY-FT or whatever they're called on the show. Is rollerskating their thing, or was that just for this time? hahaha. And one guy was thiiis close to falling right down (they were all on roller skates) in the beginning.

Kis-My-Ft are usually rollerskating, it looks fun but not promising enough. (Well, you can never guess what will be the next trend in Japan, and Johnny can always make his acts number one).

Now, Music Station? I stopped following it on July but I think I will get that episode. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /heart.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sideways:' /> I miss the Juniors but Shounen Club looks too strange without KAT-TUN, so I'm never up to following it again.

Kis-my-ft seem to be on music station a lot - I feel like I've seen them do back up dancing a few times. A friend of mine that lives in Oita was telling me they came to her area to do a concert (and possibly handshake event?) recently. I wonder if they're touring around and doing all these music station appearances to get support for a debut? Not that JE has really done much with the last group they debuted yet. It's officially been a whole year since HSJ has had a single o.O

Akanishi Jin is getting a solo single though. It's being marketed as "LANDS", a group with Jin as the vocals and Kobayashi Takeshi as the producer. So essentially a Jin solo project for a movie he's in. The single is called "BANDAGE" and only has the one track. I hope it's another wangsty rock number with plentiful English lyrics.

This kind of sounded familiar, and then I checked up on it, and it indeed the much-talked-about Shunji Iwai written film planned since 2005. You get a bit of the song in this clip. It sounds pretty good and is nowhere near anything traditionally associated with JE. Article and trailer here:

http://twitchfilm.net/news/2009/10/full-tr...ted-bandage.php

First single slated for NOV 26th. Film debuts in Japan on JAN 16th.

So yet another Junior unit is going to release a single. It's another temporary unit, this time formed to sing the theme song for the movie "Snow Prince Kijirareta Koi no Melody" which stars Morimoto Shintaro. The unit is called "Snow Prince Gasshoudan" or sometimes more fittingly "Morimoto Shintaro with Snow Prince Gasshoudan" since he appears to do most of the singing. The other juniors just back him up as a chorus (hence "Gasshoudan" - Choir). Their single is called Snow Prince and it comes out 12/2.

There's a performance here of the b-side "Bitter Moon" which is actually a pretty cool song.

So I was reading this little tidbit which, I admit, is half speculation so it's hardly worth mentioning, but can I just say, even if it is fake, this amuses me so much? I can't help it, sometimes I LOVE the dating rumors. (Except that weird Berryz + Jin one. That was just...disturbing.) The article says that Nakazawa Yuko and Sakamoto Masayuki have been dating for possibly 8 years and I'm curious why I've never heard of this before. Makes me wonder what other big rumored-couples are. Like I said, I know it's dumb, but I get some weird kick out of it <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' />.

Otherwise...Johnnys has been a bit boring to me lately. I blame it on kpop. But kanjani8 I still enjoy following and they just had their new single come out and . . . it's okay. I don't know, lately it seems like they lost the ability to be funny and still have really catchy songs. Kyu☆Jo☆Show just isn't a song that I'd put on my iPod and want to sing along to in the car, unlike Wahaha or Kanfuu Fighting. The performances are interesting enough but otherwise, meh.

And I haven't really kept up with any other group. I've heard Arashi's newest, because I've watched the first episode of My Girl, but it was another one that didn't stick in my brain.

Oooh I remember the rumors about them!! They make a great couple! Two leaders <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> They should get married already <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... deways.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' />

I like Kyu☆Jou☆Show, but it reminds me too much of Obasan Rock for me to love it <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I seriously expect to hear "kaimono~~~" right after the Kyu!Jou!Show! part. And I think it's hard to follow up Musekinin Hero XD BUT one of the b-sides, Brilliant Blue, is amazing! It doesn't sound like KJ8 at all but I love it.

Kyu☆Jo☆Show was a little bit of a letdown =/ I finally got around to listening to it and wasn't that impressed. I'll have to give it a few more chances. I haven't gotten to the b-sides yet either. BUT they're already getting another single. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... prised.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Or rather, singles. They come out for Christmas - "Gift ~Shiro~" on 12/23, "Gift ~Aka~" on 12/24, and "Gift ~Midori~" on 12/25. Each version is only 888yen.

Shiro:

1. Fuyu Koi

2. Kimi no Uta wo Utao

Aka:

1. I wish

2. Minus Hyaku-do no Koi

Midori:

1. Yuki wo Kudasai

2. One day in winter

3. Snow White

In other parts of the JE world, KinKi is getting a new album! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' /> They're returning to the letter theme - it's called "J album" and it comes out 12/9. The covers and tracklists are up here at the official Johnny's site. The limited edition has a bonus DVD with PVs and TV Spots for their last three singles, while the regular edition gets a bonus track. This is a nice surprise, I kind of figured they were done for the year after their last single.

So, NYC Boys on Kouhaku. lol. I know it's already been discussed elsewhere but I'm bringing it here now. I'm pretty sure, like someone somewhere online said (great source, I know), that JE was probably like "If you want Arashi, you've got to take NYC Boys too". That's the only thing that would explain it <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> But with rumors of KAT-TUN doing their own countdown this year, what the hell is going to happen to Countdown?! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

Someone post an article in one of the Arashi communities that says that's exactly what JE did - they mention one of the NYC boys is a favorite of Johnny's or something. That part I think is probably completely tabloid speculation, since I don't thnk Johnny himself is al that involved with this kind of stuff anymore, but even though they'll never come out and say it officially, it's pretty obvious that was the deal. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lmfao:' />

As for Countdown, I'm kind of wondering if they're going to try and phase it out? Last year's countdown was so lame with everyone spread out all over the place. I kind of wonder if they're moving toward more "individual" events for the different groups. Maybe to make more money, or to deal with the difficulties of the balloting process for a mixed group event?

Yeah, it sounds like that may be what's happening... if it does, it'll be sad to see it phase out completely <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' /> While I have my favorite groups, I do like JE as a whole, and Countdown is a good opportunity to see them all performing/interacting together. I'm guessing the balloting process for something like this is hell though, haha. So maybe there are practical reasons behind it. I'm guessing whatever happens, we should be hearing about it soon!

Why didn't I see the reply in this thread about Kinki Kids' new album!? Koichi looks good on the cover too! I hope there will be beautiful songs, I didn't really like thir singles for this album, except for Yakusoku.

About the Countdown, there are still too many members to say it won't happen but the tendency seems to be that: everyone scattered <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' /> . More and more, it looks like a show only for NEWS and KAT-TUN (and sometimes Kanjani8, at least).

At last, I wonder who would be Johnny's favorite but if there really is one, it would be Nakayama Yuma, in my opinion...

So, I was watching Jay Leno tonight (because Drew Brees was on it, and I had to watch), and Quentin Tarantino was on the show before him and he spent a fair amount of time explaining what and who SMAP was, and then they showed clips from his appearance on their show.

That... is all I had to say, I just thought you guys would find it of slight interest. You can now go back to talking about stuff that I don't know anything about, yet I read anyway.

I just saw Quentin Tarantino in a Softbank commercial, he's all over Japanese tv! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pouty:' /> BUT JESUS CHRIST BRAD WHAT ANIMAL DIED ON YOUR FACE. Thanks for the link, hopefully this is as awesome as Brad Pitt was before he started wearing road kill on his chin. And Quentin Tarantino is always entertaining.

I have absolutely NO idea what this, but. Oh, I like.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFc52oqS3WM

1. Bakanishi ft. Ryo? I HAVE A FEELING SOME JE FANGIRLS WET DREAMS HAVE FINALLY BEEN REALIZED.

2. This song sounds like... it's almost entirely in English. Intelligible English. What is this intelligible English doing in my JE?? That rap sounds entirely too fluent to be by either of them, so I'm not... really sure.

Does anyone else have more information about this track? It's really catchy, whatever it is. 8o

Hey girl! Wanna dance? Not you! 'Scuse you, I'm not talking to you!

edit: This was all I could find regarding it. Which, if those lyrics are the real lyrics... epic lol. "I'm so fucked up turn the party up // Till we all puke up we change that up"

Anything BUT KAT-TUN. Seriously.

But slightly more seriously, it depends on your tastes. I have a pretty heavy bias towards Arashi, but I'd say they're definitely worth a look into regardless. TOKIO is a pretty awesome group, they play their own instruments and do sort of pop-rock. If you like to laugh and listen to silly songs, Kanjani8 is great. Stick to their singles, they don't have a whole lot of great album tracks. Jessi can tell you all about V6, but I'd say like Arashi they also have a pretty varied discography. They've done a lot of typical "JE pop" but they also have some rockish songs and some electronic-ish songs. KinKi Kids tends to do ballads, or songs with a sort of vague spanish sound. Tackey & Tsubasa and News both have fairly small discographies, so if you wanted to check them out it probably wouldn't take too long. I find both of those groups to be very hit or miss. Finally, Hey Say Jump is still pretty new so they only have like 4 songs. If you wanted to listen to them it'd probably only take you about 20 minutes xD

Hey thread, long time no see xD

So I'm not sure how many people this is going to mean anything to here, but I'm posting about it anyway. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> As Arashi fans probably already know, "Arashi no Shukudai-kun" is coming to an end at the end of this month. Arashi has been with the same staff for eight years. The same people that made AnS also made C no Arashi, D no Arashi, G no Arashi, all of their Odoroki no Arashi Specials, and helped out with 24hourTV. Starting in April, Arashi will be doing a new show called "Arashi ni Shiyagare" which will air during prime time on Saturdays and will be produced by a new staff.

In order to show their appreciation to Arashi and especially the staff, Japanese fans have started collecting signatures. The goal of the petition is to have a memorial book made to celebrate the history of these shows, but even if that goal isn't reached the fans want to have a way to gather together and show their support. If anyone is interested, I translated the information about the poll and how to fill out the form over here. If you have no problems reading Japanese, you can just go straight to the petition.

Wow this thread is pretty much dead. I think I'm one of the few people on this forum who actually cares about JE. >_<

Three years since their debut Hey! Say! JUMP is finally releasing their first album. Which I'm extremely excited about. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> Assuming the tracklist isn't an utter dissapointment.

They're finally releasing an album? Yes! I am so totally psyched for this, I love Hey! Say! Jump. I just hope that maybe we'll get to hear all the other members sing besides Ryosuke.

There's only about maaaybe 5 of us, and a few of those people aren't very active at the board so this thread tends to die a lot, lol.

Good for HSJ though. They have some good songs, and it's too bad they've been pretty neglected in terms of releases.

@Arichii: Yeah they're releasing it sometime in the summer, there's no release date as of yet. It will most likely be Ryosuke heavy, and probably duets and small group songs for the other members. :/

@TnB: Oh lol. XD

I hate that they get neglected. It seems like Johnny isn't 100% sure what to do with them. He also needs to release another concert DVD soon. They've had like 6 concerts since their last DVD.
