I went and saw it yesterday. It's actually the first Star Wars film I've ever seen.

Why did you not watch the other ones before?

Go watch the others! It's worth it, I promise.
Watch episodes IV-VI first, then I-III.

Love Hina is the best, and probably the only good, harem anime.

Just watched Turbo Kid, a wonderful mixture of Mad Max, Power Rangers, Mega Man, funny splatter and synthiewave music à la Powerglove.

Just saw The force awakens (luckily in 2D) and I'm not sure how I feel about.
It's certainly better than Episode 1 & 2, that's for sure.

They should have called it Star wars: Family business.

So I never actually posted my thoughts on that movie... and while back then I couldn't even come up with one sentence to describe my feelings, now two weeks later I have way too many thoughts I can barely write a coherent paragraph.

So I just made a whole thread instead lol

Yeah.

All members of this board should see KILL BILL VOL. 1, mainly for the Japanese content and the performance by the all-girl Japanese surf guitar group, the 5,6,7,8's, as seen in this shot:

Plus, the fact that it's a great movie.

P.S. I wouldn't recommend that Tarantino newbies start out with HATEFUL EIGHT. Go with PULP FICTION, or KILL BILL VOL. 1.

I just got the audiobook of The disaster artist. It's by one of the actors from The Room and details all the terrible and terrific films that happened before and during the shoot.

I just watched Tarzan today after so many years. I don't remember it being so gruesome. I would not show it to a child unless I wanted to traumatize them.

I read the book about a year ago and just recently listened to the audiobook. I'm usually not much for audiobooks, but having like a quarter of it be Greg Sestero's Tommy Wiseau impression is pretty great. And it's just a really fun and interesting book.

The Martian is Ridley Scott's best movie I've seen since Black Rain.
It may be just a bit too long, but by the end I was really satisfied and the OST is surprisingly unusual for a SciFi movie, but quite fitting.

Just saw Zoolander 2. It can never be the original again, and as with many comedy sequels it sometimes tried to hard to recreate or outdo some bit from the original, but I laughed a lot. If you enjoyed the original for its exaggerated stupidity, there's a lot more of that to be found here.

Scarlett Johansson as Kaa is literally the worst casting decision Disney has ever made. I'm glad her scene was short.

Other than that, The Jungle Book was all right. Surprisingly I really enjoyed Bill Murray's take on Baloo.
