I can't get into the song, tbh. I am indifferent to the original, but I feel with C-ute's voices it actual becomes a bit offensive to the ears.

Not a bad PV at all! Has most of the things I look for; scene changes, regular clothes (ya ok there is some costumes) and not too out there dance.



I could have sworn at one point that the house was the one from the Aruiteru video, but I think that I'm just crazy.



Overall? A good cover and a decent video. Not too shabby, I'm hoping for original material next time but this was a success in my mind.

Good = EVERYTHING ELSE. I loved them at the beach. They need to do more of this! This is a great summer song, even if it is a cover.



Yeah, I'd say Mai and Chisa are venturing into the "awkward" phase. Let's hope it's shorter than Maimi's who was basically awkward looking for about 4 years, then got pretty, then became an absolute babe.

Forgettable. I am unfamiliar with the source material, but it doesn't really seem like anything special. I still don't know who's who in C-ute (and to a lesser degree, Berryz). I recognize ... that one girl from Buono, whose name I can't seem to remember off the top of my head right now. Help me out Google! Okay, Airi. Yeah. I uh, recognize her. Good grief, why is this so hard? I didn't have this much of a problem learning MM. :|



Anyway! Kind of a boring song, with kind of a boring PV (with a Budget!). Maybe it'll grow on me, but I haven't really enjoyed any of C-ute's major singles except Edo no Temari II and Sakura Chirari. What's worse is that this is a cover.

Aaaaaaaaagreed. Great PV for H!P standards. I think I like C-ute's songs, but I'll pass on this one. But I hope overall, this doesn't mean that there could be something much better.

That is what I am SAYING. I didn't even know the SweetS version was a cover, honestly, so this comes out and I'm very disappointed to learn SweetS made the song amazing while C-ute was more faithful to the original and sounds outdated and boring.



I watched the PV earlier today. I do not remember a damn thing about it. I think that says it all.

I don't think anyone knows, really. It's been pretty quiet on that front as far as news is concerned, so... I guess her foot transplant's taking longer than expected?



Also, I really like the original version of Shochuu now, hearing it from Candies. The SweetS one seems okay, but I am not a big fan of "modern" lives, it's too much jumping around and poor vocal control. The C-ute one is just too... cute. It's too high pitched for me to really enjoy it.

I was a huge fan of SweetS, almost bordering on otaku. Thus, the first couple of times I listened to this song, I couldn't get SweetS' version out of my head. Then I listened to the original, and lastly C-ute's version again.



The song itself is great. Very fun and summer-y feeling. But like most recent H!P covers, they're too faithful to the original and it ends up being almost like a karaoke performance. The PV is nice for once. I like the girls in plainclothes than idol matching outfits, though I will say those red outfits were very cute. It's a good song, it's hard to ruin it unless you're trying really hard. The only problem is C-ute doesn't really bring anything new to the table while SweetS gave it a nice lipstick update.



And on a side note, I can't find it anywhere, but the better perf. of Shochuu is on their only Live DVD release. There's not much dancing and it sounds better. I think there's a live version as a b-side to one of their later singles too...I think it was their spaceship single...

I didn't really like this song. The corus is kinda nice but I just can't bring myself to like it. The PV is super cute though, I love those red dresses, and the dance looks really fun.

I've never been on board for C-ute and this bias really impacts how much I like/dislike their music and videos. I love Airi but aside from her, I still can't tell most of the girls apart from the legions of underage idols. Even Maimi, who is so beautiful, is just soooooo awkward in front of a camera that she is ultimately unappealing as a singer (in my opinion, of course). Oh well.

I'm not really feeling anything all that special about the SweetS version. It takes a 70s song and makes it...more 70's by disco-ing it up. I wouldn't really call that "modernizing" it. It's a cute cover, but it doesn't wow me. I like how C-ute's version keeps the peppy cuteness of the original but tones down the brass to take away the 70's feel. On a first listen I wasn't that pulled in, but it ended up getting stuck in my head. It's a really cute song, but it might have been more exciting as a b-side or a track on that upcoming H!P cover album where it'd be like a nifty bonus (ala Folk Songs) rather than a substitute for new material.

Candies version is really damn good, especially for its time, its like a 3-person Pink Lady song. The SweetS version isn't very good, and C-ute's is basically on par with the Candies version.
