Sayaka left the public eye in 2004 to start her little family and then fell off the face of the earth.

Hooray, I'm happy she's coming back as a talent, I suppose. Although I selfishly wish she were making music, rather than just being a general show business girl, since with music I can actually get into it. It's like with Yaguchi for me, I like her so I'm happy she's all over the place but I can't understand any of it. I hope the "may make a return to singing" comes to some sort of fruition.

I don't think there's anything long-term yet. All we know is what it says there about:

Her immediate plans include opening a public blog on the 25th, and an interview in the photo magazine "FLASH" the same day. On the 30th, she plans to return to TV on TBS' "Sunday Japon". And on September 5, she plans to appear as a model in the "Tokyo Girls Collection" show at the National Yoyogi Stadium.

I would assume she's still married to that guitarist since the article just mentions the marriage and kid. Since they're together, I say they just reform Cubic-Cross. Come on, Sayaka. You know you want to.

YES! I love Sayaka Ichii! She was one of my ultra top favorites in MM and I loved her even in Cubic Cross and I loved her even more when (in an interview on a music show, post mm-era) she explained how Nakazawa was the damned scariest person ever. She looks a bit like Matsumoto Megumi/Rio now that she's grown up.



I wonder if she's going to try and get back into music. The translation suggests she's going into acting? Anyhow, I will await her blog.

It would be great if she was all over variety TV the way Mari/Tsuji/Mai are, but at the same time that stuff is kind of hard to get into. When one of the H!P girls has a lot of face time in the show or the show itself happens to be really good on its own, those kind of appearances are fun to watch. But most of the time there's just too many people on them and you only see snippets of the girls. I guess it's cool if she becomes an actress, but I've never been able to get excited about any one actor or actress unless they're either AMAZING or they're really cool/funny/etc off screen.

Good for her. It won't really mean anything to me unless she finds her way back into the recording studio, though. Cubic Cross was hit and miss for me, and these type of comebacks rarely produce anything good, so while I'm happy for Ichii, I'm not expecting much. I'd love to be surprised, though. She was always one of the all time cutest Musumes.

She really does have super cute photos, and at least the majority of them are of her instead of random objects/food (not that those are entirely missing XD).



Would anyone be interested in regular translations of her blog? It's short and easy (aside from the fact that she blogs 100x a day), so I could start on it and make a journal for it or something. I have no idea if H!O plans to pick it up though.

Ha...thats kind of sad. Speaking of that, we could probably pick up some of the other blogs that H!O doesn't cover (and that I want to desperately read). The thing is, I started doing Kaori's blog but it was SO BORING. All she did was post her food and it was a pain in the ass to translate random food names as well as Japanese transliterations of Italian foods, etc.



Why don't we just start? My Japanese isn't very good, but I can run my translations by others in the J-lang thread and then tackle the super easy posts.
