I know your music is where you'd like us to touch, but "nesh COMPLEX" sounds like an alternative lifestyle community in West Hollywood. Or what you may contract after living there for awhile. At any rate, I'm always up for fun mixtime stuffs, downloading now, will comment later! Or vice versa.

Okay, first of all, ALWAYS put your mp3s into a folder before .raring/.zipping

XXX and Last Days - I like the groove & quirkiness of this until the 3:05 mark where it gets kinda messy & doesn't fully recover. Like the songs are just almost meeting, but never quite hitting the mark.

Sexy Bitch and Hope - This one works really, really well. The only flaw is that the beats kinda crunch here & there from being less-than-perfectly lined up. Other than that, very nice job!

step YOU and Pjanoo - The Young Punx! mix is easily the best remix of 2008, so much so that I still use it as my default ringtone. I'm not reeeeal wild about making it faster like this, but it goes straight to hell at 1:46. The pitches just don't match & it's really distracting. The rest is... okay as a kind of alternate version, but not something I'd listen to again. FAIL. And cut your hair, ya damn hippie!

GAME x YOJI and Southern Hospitality - The rap fits really well thematically, but I can't help but think they could've been sequenced a little more accurately, they seem just a hair behind the beat to me. But then, I have no idea how the song normally goes and OHOHOHO you seem to have timed those raps just right at the 2:15 mark, so now I KNOW you were just lazy at the beginning HAHAHA.

Memories and edge - Ahaha you looped the most annoying part of the album mix of edge & made it work! And then it gets even better at 2:35 when the more familiar part of edge comes in.

Embrace the Martian and Everything Needs Dub - Is it my imagination or is there a lot of Kraftwerk sampled through half these songs? This one flows well, but it also suffers later when there's too much of both songs going on at once. I mean, technically a mashup takes the vocal from one song & sets it to the instrumental of another & that's it.

ILLUMINATION and Kimi ga Suki - Prime example of things getting too cluttered. It's fine until 30 seconds in when the two songs just don't quite blend. I'm sorry, I had to stop this at 1:20 cos it just was getting too out of hand, haha. Don't get me wrong, you're showing a lot of insight & potential with these mixes, but on some of them you're just missing the mark. The fact that you thought these up is really creative & admirable, it's just that some of them try to throw too much together.

That Ain't Cool and Dead End - I remember you singing this in Idol last weekend & I gotta say... I much prefer this version hahahaha! But really, this is a much better end result & I think it's cos it's a more straightforward mashup without clashing instrumentals. The tempo change also makes That Ain't Cool a better song, imo potato. This is my favorite so far.

feel the beat and Changing Seasons - Again, good job except for the brief clashing parts.

Boom Boom Pow and Purple Line - Lol, those Tohoshiki faggots. Good choice keeping them out of this mix, that one guy always sounds like he's desperately gotta take a big dump. And again, this is a good example of a mashup, letting two songs each do half the work instead of letting them try to do 75% or more each at the same time.

Aerodynamic and Rendezvous - Okay, I dunno which song uses that guitar-ish synth riff, but it's FUCKING ANNOYING. Not only am I skipping the track after 43 seconds, I am deleting it from my hard drive & punching you in the kidneys if I ever meet you. I KNOW you didn't create it, but good lord someone's gonna be held accountable!

Death Suite and Television Rules the Nation - Ehhh, don't like either song really, sorry.

Umbrella and CRAZY IN LOVE - I really like this one a lot. It adds a nicely subtle buildup without going overboard. Very well done!

Cosmic Pink and Do Not Break - This one's really on the border & I can't decide if I like it or not, haha. It works well most of the time, but there's still a few parts that pull me out of it. Like it's hypnotic for the most part, but now & then somebody distracts the hypnotist. But even the most glaring parts are still way better than that ILLUMINATION mess, haha.

Overall, I think you did a really good job thinking up these combinations & even though some of them don't really work for me, others do very well! I have yet to even consider trying to do a mashup, I still think it's pretty amazing that people can hear a song & realize they could switch out parts with another song, I'm probably just too white. But yeah, nice work! I look forward to hearing more.

I'm prepared to make a response.

XXX/Last Days: Mixing these songs was kind of a mess, and XXX really doesn't provide a lot besides the vocals and some high percussion. I don't really notice any messiness from the song though.

Sexy Bitch/Hope: One remark about all of these is that I mix them live rather than in an audio editor, so a lot of the late ins or outs (here, at 3:11-ish) are from me hard-fading too late which makes that sound of a beat coming in late really bad... I'm not a machine!

step YOU/Pjanoo: I'd say this song is a little bit of a mish-mash just because both of the songs have their own vital mid-range parts and all of the other memorable parts are from step YOU. Still, Pjanoo provides all of the bass and that, to me, really brings it full circle oval. I really get a kick out of this mix.

GAME/Southern: Southern Hospitality is, itself, off-beat slightly with the vocals, but the two songs are synced by their beats, so the vocal timing does end up suffering a bit. I was being a little bit lazy, but only in that this is the same version as on my YT account, just volume normalized. I'd have re-mixed it, but 1) GAME has those slowdown tempo changes that just make everything a hot mess and 2) I did a lot of neat beatmashing in the original that I can't figure out how I did.

Embrace/Everything: In my defense, Everything Needs Dub is practically an instrumental anyway. And I wouldn't use that definition of a mash-up. Really the vocals and maybe a bit of the synthline were the only parts pulled out of Embrace and I thought it transposed really well.

ILLUMINATION/Kimi: Oh jeez. I knew this song would be an issue. I've been doubting this song for a while but I've stood by it since I used it in PAYPII. The EQ work here was really not thought out as much since it was kinda of a last minute re-mix.

Boom/Purple: Really? It was one of the "easier" songs and I thought it really sounded that way. In a bad way.

Aero: a) The riff (I assume you mean the 1 measure one, not the long 16 measure one) is from Aerodynamic and I thought it was kind of iconic to the track. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> REALLY?! This is one of my more favorite tracks. It was really kind of a cacophony that I thought ended up hitting all the marks. c) Hit Daft Punk! They're FRENCHIES!

Cosmic: Well, it'd be bad if you fell asleep!

Really, thank you for all of the commentary! It's glad to know people are listening.
