I got the Electronic 80's 2 CD from my bf on Christmas. It's been quite awesome listening to it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thanks! A friend told me a couple of months that they were looking forward to this because the music was so great, so upon your mention of it I went and downloaded it. It's quite a great piece of electropop goodness, even though I had never watched the show or listened to the music before.

Taku Takahashi produced the music for PSG! I've only seen R34 of PSG, but it seems...interesting. It doesn't look as slash-y as the R34 lead it to be :T

I made it for sadude, but I thought I might as well share my misfortune of learning that I apparently LOVE Tasty Love by Kara and I didn't even realize it. I'm so ashamed. *tear*
I'm listening to to a lot of Skirt right now, got them off JpopSuki and I recommend then to anyone who likes late 90's pop that has a bit of a rock edge.
I love them and am very sad they didn't last past an album and two singles. :<

EDIT:

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
You will never guess what the background story to this pretty cool rock song (and video) is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=nJTezKHbkDc&vq=high
This is rather sad.
I was reading an interview with a Japanese sex worker who also did a some AV stuff. While she seems somewhat ok with the stuff she's doing now, she wants to become a singer/dancer one day. She especially admires the band in the video I posted, since they're all AV actresses and she wants to do something like that.
I did some research on that group (CRPD-055 wrong name, they called it "Skinless") and found out that it's not a real band, but just the ending to a porn movie where the story was that the four girls were being casted for a new band. At least they did let the girls perform and put it into the video...

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
One of my favorite Shinichi Osawa songs, "Our Song," from The One is really so amazing and a few months back, I found out that the European/English-digital versions of The One got a different version of Our Song! Called "Our Song (We Are All Innocent)," it's a punk-ier version and I really love the lyrics and chorus.
So I've been kind of into that today. It's been helping me get over my insane stress from moving.

What the fuck PQ, 2000 plays? How's that possible? That's 100 hours of that song. That's gotta be wrong somehow. Maybe that's not plays but a popularity score or something.

I'm listening to a lot of Seiko Matsuda, but since I only have her LOVE ~Seiko Matsuda 20th Anniversary BEST SELECTION~ album, it's sorta starting to repeat itself. xD
Also, CHEICO KAWABE IN THE HOUSE!!!!! Why did she have to go and marry her father and have a baby and then change her name to Chieko Ochi? WHY? I loved her music. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... pyeyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

2. KARA-Mister
3. KARA-Jumping
4. KARA-Love Is
5. Takahashi Yu-See You Again
6. Itano Tomomi-Dear J

There's just no way! There's 37 songs there, each with plays well over 1000, and each clock in at about 3 minutes. Even if you're being generous that's over 3000 hours of plays in a year (none of those are listed as added much later than a year ago)! You leave that thing playing all night or something? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />
Anyway, I've been listening to the "new" Sound Horizon album. Haven't really been able to get into it like I had with Moira though. Still good, but I dunno, it's not quite on the same level for me. It may be just a little bit too coherent, without any tracks I can latch on immediately, like Moira's Thanatos.
Link to a random song from the album.

Sweet Donuts (Yukiho Version)
[/quote]
You know, I actually did a cover of that a few years back, but my singer never finished her track, so I never finished a completed version. I don't even know where the tracks are now.
I've been on a massive Badfinger kick the past two weeks. I'm currently working on a power pop arrangement of "Name Of The Game".

It might have been played also in the US clubs all the time, but this is the biggest club song this year, at least in Europe,:

Ayumi Hamasaki - Still Alone
The first japanese song to ever exist on my hard drive (but not the first one I ever listened to. That belongs to two-mix and the GWing days)
Say what you want about her, but I loved it back then and stumbled upon it in my player not too long ago and now I can't stop playing it

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
Nortec Collective - radio Borderland (or maybe it's just borderland)
It's from a spanish group, dressed like your typical norteno band (blargh-lol-ugh-why-lol)
that mashes electronica sound with traditional instruments/norteno (hint, there's an accordion AND tuba!?)
and the video is set in Shanghai and shows random things in Shanghailand
I don't know why it is set there, it just is
while the band plays in front of lights with signs saying "Tijuana" and the like showing streets in mexico and other bright craziness
And there's a motherfucking TUBA
No, I don't think you heard me, it has a TUBA with a tuba player rocking out HELLS YEAH
No vocals (aside from the robot BORDERLAND at the beginning)
I said no vocals son!
Just instrumental goodness - accordians and tubas and gitaas and some dude pointing the magic finger at the giant computer control center (he's the dude that wrote/produced the song lulz)
Please give it a try!
And I hope this didn't annoy you. I felt the line breaks properly conveyed my love of this song. Actually, looking the wiki up on them, I'm sad I didn't know of them sooner.

Lately I've been listening to Emiri Miyamoto, whom I found after doing some searching after listening to and liking LA.G. Her stuff is less poppy than LA.G (and she doesn't sing, though she's done a collab with a vocalist), but still good.
I also found BECCA yesterday (and the collab she did with Bennie K, titled Bennie Becca). She sounds quite promising. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/meh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />

I think I just found one of the most underground idol groups in existence. (if they even are an actual, consistent group)
They're called Love-C and have made a cover of the Japanese folk song Don Pan Bushi:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxFr2bNGZMc
From what I can understand they've released this song 5 years ago and it was some kind of "parenthood unit"...
EDIT:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E6%81%8B%E3%81 ... B000A3H69A
I am fascinated by things that happened years ago and pretty much nobody knew they ever happened.
2.EDIT:
This just keeps getting more wondrous. They even made an English version of this song:
