[Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
Mano's 7th single, Onegai Dakara... drops on May 12th.
Radio Preview available on UTube!
Now compared to S/mileage's new single, this isn't generic H!P at all. In fact, I have NO idea what's going on in this song at all, it's all over the place and it's very unlike Mano has done before. It screams for a trance remix that's like 10 minutes long or something.
Mano's voice works well it's not grating as usual but I worry about the PV for this it could be strange or boring, I try not to think about PVs anymore.

This is a place where a signature goes. Enjoy some Airi instead.
Re: [Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
The intro and the rest of the song are very disconnected. It starts off as this deep trance song and then turns into an anime trance song (save for the hooks and interlude). Seperately they're good, but I just don't like how the entire song cuts off between the hooks and verses. I'm getting a very Koharu sound from her chorus singing (especially the first lines of both chorus parts). Her vocals are very disconnected from the mood that the hooks and interlude set up.

I'm not crazy for this song, but it might grow on me. I love how lately Mano's songs aren't the same. Like, the style of the song changes each single now. Well, Hajimete no Keiken, Love&Peace=Paradise, and Sekai wa Summer Party were a similar in styles, but starting ever since her 4th single, she gets so much better every time.

Poor girl needs to be seen and not heard. She's absolutely adorable, but damn her songs are bland as hell. The only thing I've liked from her musically was the intro to Esper Mano, which is just the kind of cute, upbeat stuff she should be doing.
Hey Tsunku! Just have Mano cover the first few years of Ayaya's discography and everyone wins!

Do we know who the composer is this time? I can't seem to find it. She's been passed around to so many different people.

It's become a trend for my first impression of Mano's recent songs to be that they are awesome. But I think the one tie that keeps me hooked to this song is that this is so Koharu.

Yes, exactly. Not that Mano ever been the greatest singer, but this feels like a regression for her. This song is pretty bad in every sense - vocals are weak, the music doesn't really come together, and it lacks the catchy hook that most of her recent songs have had.

PV Preview release! It can be found here.
So far it doesnt seem that appealing to me and I don't like the cosplay shots that much but they'll probably look better when the full PV comes out.

Ugh, this is such wota pandering. PVs like this are NOT going to help H!P regain credibility. It's a shame, because I like the dance shots and close ups, but the cosplay shots are creepy to me, in a she's-looks-8-and-she's-pandering-to-maid-fetishists? kind of way. Also, wow - those are some seriously confused back up dancers. They're not in sync at all

Re: [Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
It looks like your standard Mano PV + home movies but hey, at least she's dancing a bit more. I didn't like the song at first, but it's starting to grow on me.
Re: [Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
The PV seems really like Haru no Arashi. Are those costumes from anywhere special? It could be that they are pretty common cosplay stuff but they still look familiar... Now, I like that song, is it Tsunku again the composer?
And they changed the Eggs... I'll miss S/mileage but it's understandable.
Forgot to mention the real awesomeness from this release. The covers! I was completely ignoring this single until I saw the covers. They are amazing. It's still the same idea but they finally have something special to them, I think. At least, it was enough to catch my attention.

I wanted to disagree with you since the covers are traditionally my only chance to personally say something negative about a Mano release, but she's sassy and has a prop!
It's like the old 80s covers I always want them to reproduce the spirit of. She got to do something exciting instead of merely staring. Although her hat wasn't half as cool as props can go.

I like that Single V cover a lot. How can one human be so adorable.
Re: [Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
Full PV up at Oricon.
Here's the Dance Shot from YouTube.
I wish they did a close up dance shot because Mano makes some good gifs with her vogue dancing moves.

Re: [Mano Erina] 7th Single Onegai Dakara...
The only problem with the PV was that there was no animal. I mean, I know I've been stretching it to try to keep the tradition alive ("Haru no Arashi" had the, uh, stuffed bear), but there could have been some animal with all that cosplaying. I guess I'll say that Manosafari was close enough. The cosplay seemed way out of place in the preview, but I'm completely fine with it after seeing the full PV. Sure, it's still way out of place, but she's just goofing off. Dance+Goof-off is better than dance+story PV for me.
Well, Taisei seems to back from his one single rest since "Love & Peace". The keyboard in "Onegai Dakara" is like a Cubic-Cross song played in a dance club. (He wrote both, but didn't arrange either the A-side or B-side. The arranger wrote some brief comments on the single. H!P super-veteran Suzuki Shunsuke arranged the b-side).
So what the heck is the line that starts off the song and repeats throughout? I'm guessing it's something about "true (your?) love" because of the end, but I swear it sounds like "Feed me, please, your lunch." Poor Mano. They're starving her, and she had to learn English to get it past the producers. This, of course, flies in the face of every blog and twitter post she has ever written since they are all a variation of "Manager-san brought me to lunch!!!" Oh, I just figured it out, she must be saying "They feed me way too much." Poor idols.
(Important fact: This is the fifth Mano single to include the words "kono mune". Good job, Miura Yoshiko, I always knew your poetry was about repetition. Okay, to be fair, KAN wrote the lyrics to "Manopiano" but Miura took the baton quite well.)
