Since graduating from Morning Musume, I've thought a lot about my future.



As I've been hearing from a lot of people that I should try modeling or acting, I've started to think about doing something related to "food and health," which I've studied a lot since I was little and wanted to be like a model.



Of course I still want to work hard at trying things like modeling and singing, but I would like to do work relating to my interest in "food" and "health."



I want to communicate with my fans in various ways, so please continue to support me!

Yes. Maybe because 99% of idols have eating disorders or maybe because 75% of Japanese tv shows involve food porn, I don't know. But no one knows how to talk about anything other than what they ate that day. It gets really fucking boring.

Just finished watching the Shuffle Date DVD and, at the risk of upsetting Madara, I can't say how immeasurably it was improved by not having to listened to her lip-synced, tuneless, nasal honking while she stood on stage with her usual vacant expression while waiting for the next thought to arrive.

I never said she was the "'only interesting thing' in MM since she joined." I said, in a fit of pique, that "Morning Musume is boring without her." Not the same thing at all. Now, when you get down to cases, I have little evidence that MM is boring without her since I haven't actually seen any post-Koharu-graduation MM performances just yet. I was apparently imagining MM without Koharu. And in my feverish imagination, they seemed less lively without her. Not an unreasonable position since the group's first post-Koharu album is somewhat boring. A position arguably backed up, if you stretch things a bit, by the Shuffle Date concert in January which could have used some of Koharu's inspired lunacy to perk it up. An appearance by her with Milky Way would have done a lot to soothe my wounded Koharu-less soul.



Oh, and how dare you accuse that wonderful smile of being "horribly fake." That smile was all real, baby.

I know this is a futile gesture, esp. since it's just plowing up old territory, but allow me to reiterate my oft-expressed position regarding Koharu in relation to Morning Musume these last two-and-a-half years or so.



Once Miki and Yossi left MM in 2007, the two strongest personalities in the group were gone. It's not like there aren't potentially distinct personalities among the remaining members, it's just that they were no longer encouraged to be themselves in the course of their performances the way, say, Mari and 4th Gen were always allowed to be themselves. For instance, there are sides of Reina and Sayumi I never felt we saw (see) enough of--at least in MM performances. And, besides, the types of songs they were being given tended to be ensemble pieces stressing the sameness of the girls, not their distinctions.



So, in the midst of all of this, there was Koharu, straining to be seen, demanding our attention, asserting herself when no one else was. Always doing something a little extra and often seeming to be on her own wavelength. And in her solo pieces she was totally unleashed, every little attention-getting quirk amped up out of all proportion. This behavior cleared bothered many of you. I enjoyed it. I liked that she wanted to be a star. Granted, if everyone in the group behaved that way, it would have been monstrous. But it was only her. She stood out in a way that sometimes I wanted to see someone stand out in that group. I'll miss that. Someone else in the group will have to go out of their way to be themselves to replace that and I don't see it happening anytime soon.



That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think you guys are misenterpreting what she's going to do, though. I don''t think she meant that her blog is going to be about food and health moreso than the work she's going to be doing from now on is. As in TV appearances and such. I have no idea what's up their sleeves, though. Should've just stuck with the model excuse. Koharu's not bad for it.

With Tsuji, the teeth are not the (only) problem... she looks absolutely disgusting nowadays. (read: ever since she basically left H!P)

You're saying (the blasphemy) she's the only interesting thing in MM (basically since she joined, because prior to that point, she wasn't in it, so we can't really judge that), so obviously that implies the rest is boring (and thus uninteresting).

It seems like everyone but Koharu is doing modeling, sure she has that Oha Star gig but pleanty of the H!P girls have gigs and still work with their groups. Makes me wonder what Tsunku had on her to make her leave just like that. I wonder if they'll go into stuff like that on her blog or it will just be another blog about nothing. With Sayumi and Reina, they actually have interesting stuff. I don't want to see what goes on behind the scenes on Oha Star, some of those people are fuggly creepy people. D: I'm not surprised half of the Japanese youths have mental scaring. Yossi was amazing in every way, one of the better singers, a very good dancer, great personality and, judging by her graduation, very popular with the other girls. Of the girls that have left since I started to follow MM (Rika onwards) I think she left a big hole that so far hasn't been filled and let's not have any lesbian double-entendres in response to that last comment <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':love:' />.

I got into Momusu faaairly shortly after Koharu joined. I've never had any sort of staunch anti-Koharu or pro-Koharu stance, other than her voice, which even at it's best could be likened to a pregnant sperm whale being violently raped with a giant, pregnant sperm whale sized accordion. Of evil.



But I've never really thought she added ANY personality to MM at all. A lot of people say she added a lot of personality to the group, but from what I can tell, she just played the generic genki character, but with nothing eccentric or out of the ordinary to make her stand out from all the other girls who CONSTANTLY play the generic genki character. And even then, unless forced to talk, she didn't even slip into the genki character, instead sitting quiet as a mouse.



When I watched the digital magazine thing for Platinum 9 (the last thing the group has done that entertained me) I actually SKIPPED Koharu's parts. Junjun, Reina, and Sayu all loudly goofed off with each other, Kamei was ditzy with Gaki, Linlin was neither boring or especially interesting (just freakishly enthusiastic) and Ai, Aika, and Koha were all very passive and added nothing to the conversation, leading to my skipping over their parts. Though I have since then viewed those segments, they proved just as boring as they were shaping up to be.



I'm fairly ambivalent to Koharu and have been ever since discovering the group, and while I'm not going to say she made the group LESS interesting, I certainly can't think of her ever doing anything to make the group MORE interesting.

Also true. I'm sure that her blog will inevitably contain SOME stuff about "food and health" since she's apparently so interested in the topics, but the messages from her and the staff basically say "Yeah she might do some modeling and stuff but she's going to try and find a job related to food and health." Maybe she'll put out a cookbook? lol. I do agree that she would have been good for modeling though, that's about the only thing I liked about her when she was in MM - her photobooks. The pictures on her blog header aren't that encouraging though. Her face looks really awkward in all of them. Hopefully those are just quick snaps they took to slap on a blog banner.
