JunJun, LinLin, Miyabi and Koharu are shufflin' it up in Shanghai

Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Miyabi and former Morning Musume member Koharu will perform in Shanghai during June as a special 4-nin unit.



Miyabi was personally chosen by Jun Jun and Lin Lin, and the three of them choose Koharu to be the fourth member. Their unit name hasn’t been revealed yet.

the fuck is this shit. While I love Miya and would gladly butter her muffin any day...wtf?

And Koharu, I have no idea. I thought that horse graduated from UFA back in December.



But, this makes it all better:

They chose Miyabi because Junjun and Linlin saw in a magazine that she wanted to go to China. They chose Koharu because the way she talks in chinese is very funny.

I think that's redeeming enough.

Screw it. I don't care if they chose Koharu just cause her Chinese is funny, I'm happy they did because Koha=LOVE. I'm kinda wondering what they're going to call the unit though. Apparently JunJun wants to call it MBK (Morning Musume, Berryz Kusumi Koharu) and Koharu wants KBM (Kusumi Kohari, Berryz, Morning Musume). I hope that they will eventually think of a better name for their special unit.

Aside from that the costumes are super cute. I hope they get a single. I'm not in any hurry to hear Koharu's voice again, but if it was something Guru Guru Jump-ish it could be awesome.

I think there is something at the back of the costume, maybe a big bow in the same colour as the corset, which projects out and makes them look fat.

...yeah. Here's the explanation for the name by the person who submitted it (translation by turbos86 @ H!O):

Exceed means to go beyond. Ex, stands for Expo. The Shanghai world expo is to exceed the boundary of race and country. Ceed, also sounds like “seed”. With their sweet voices and happy dances, I hope the four girls can give joy to everyone in China and the rest of the world with their happy “seed”. And from that seed, grow into a strong tree. “!” represents the ! in Hello! Project. Also, Ex-ceed! sounds cool.

Oh Japan (Or China?). Always coming up with new ways to talk about "spreading seed" around the world.



The performances are on 6/22 & 6/23. Hopefully some kind of official video will make it to the UFA youtube channel.

For real though~ I am actually excited for the group. It look me a while to warm up to Koharu, it wasn't until her last Kirarin single that I started to appreciate her more. And I f'n love my Jun² and Lin² Miyabi is honestly pretty awesome too, So this unit looks promising to me~~ I hope their song(s) is/are catchy.
