COSMOS is my first solo EP and I'm just absolutely proud at how everything turned out. From the intros to the covers to the lead tracks; I'm just ecstatic.

INTRODUCTION TO COSMOS is a heavily spliced instrumental created from a single piano track. It sets a great mood for the entire EP.

Star is Born is a soft progressive track that came out of a simple piano loop that Nick Vardaro (previously featured in Cuba) and I created. He has a version that he's still working on I believe.

Did You Come Here To Dance? is a glitch dance track with a endearing spliced piano track and charismatic high-pitched synth. The intro uses audio directly from the original track and plays on rhythm.

The Fall is a very dark, rock-inspired electrohouse track with an amazingly full bass synth that plays great with a daring piano riff. During the final chorus, the song breaks into a dubstep style before jumping back into 100% intensity. The intro is formed from splices of the final track.

The cover design for tracks 2-6 are details of the main cover design (see above pic) progressing left to right and I think they generously mirror

I like to see the EP as a progression of nothingness in space growing to a small, then bustling, then destructive planet. I love the narrative that the songs create with one another.

SPECIAL DEAL FOR BaBeS! The full album package costs $4 and includes exclusive hi-resolution graphics and a special COSMOS wallpaper. I have only listened to the first song and it has a nice 8-Bit-ish feeling.

It reminds me a lot of the other song (Cuba) you posted recently.

Can't say anything definite now, but I already started to like Cuba after a few listenings. It is somehow similar to the Bionic Commando Rearmed OST, though not as fast-paced.

I will give my final verdict after I've listened to all the songs in the next two days.

I know I keep forgetting because I'm a bad girl, but I listened to this. I like it more than your other song(s) you posted last time (my favorite of those was the reprise). Did you take the piano bits (I hope that was a piano *lawl* I'm no music maker) from a classical composition? It sounds oddly familar, but I couldn't find it through my scouring of piano music. I'll elaborate later when I have time.

Nope, there was no outside sampling this time around! The rhoades piano sampling from the album intro comes from a single track I made and spliced to hell, the Did You Come Here To Dance? rhoades piano comes from a piano loop I messed around with. The piano in The Fall was simply in-line (played via MIDI/"live") and the intro for The Fall simply uses whatever piano bits were in the final track.

I see! Must've been my ears playing tricks on me. Thanks

My favorite of the tracks was The Fall. I looped that one thrice when I first heard it hahaha. Mostly because the piano sound felt more...pure? I suppose that's how I shall put it. Second favorite would be Star is Born, it felt soothing and calming.

I didn't like Did You Come Here To Dance? much because some of the sound effects used gave me a headache. I don't listen to this genre of music much, so I'm not used to those types of effects.

Haha, that's actually kind of funny, your favorites are the most recent tracks of all. The Fall was most recent, Star was second and Did was first and notably older than the other two. I think I probably settled the most with Did just because I had not only gone through this entire album while juggling the duty of finishing this track, but I've had it on my plate since before I put out Cuba, so I've had it percolating for so long and I became de-sensitized to it. I can totally see where the synth could be both unsettling and too prominent. I think that, as I've gone through each track, I've become much more suited to doing different things right sooner instead of fiddling with it for too long until I'm okay with it and Did was really the epitome of that. I had had that song working before I even started learning to master and mix down correctly, so everything is just grossly saturated and over processed.

But much love for giving it a listen! I've got a remix in the works that is kind of similar to The Fall, but not as dark. It's for a contest, so I'd better be done before Sunday.
