T-ara come to get down!

Post by Pflaume »

Image

When they're not potentially stripping on webcams in their pre-teens, T-ara are pumping out albums so wonderful that the BBS feels all funny inside.

T-ara is releasing their new mini-album, Temptastic, on December 3rd. It was previously set to be released today (November 29th), however, the release was delayed out of respect for the Yeonpyeong Island events. They also recently donated about 20 million won to the cause.

In the meantime, please enjoy their new video showing off their sparkly new member, "WHY ARE YOU BEING LIKE THIS?!"

[tinytext]I literally can't say the title without screaming it, sorry.[/tinytext]

I leave you with two things.

1) A fun fact. Hwayoung, the new member, is the twin of Co-ed's Hyoyoung. Let's hope she doesn't share Hyoyoung's brittle ankles. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... imshot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

<img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbsup:' />

2)

Image

The other concept is some weird Indian casino theme. Who needs it when we have this picture? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' />

<img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... bounce.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':bounce:' /> I'm so excited that T-ara is back. There's just only so many times you can listen to the same album before it burns a hole through your brain and you can't listen to it anymore. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I fell in love at first listen.

I am disappointed amazing outfits are not in video.

The fashion for the girl groups is insane right now! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':noway:' /> American artists need to steal that instead of Gaga...
T-ara has released a second video rapid-fire, for their title track YaYaYa.

And it's not weird or offensive at all. 8o
<img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> But hey, at least the song is great! Why are you being like this was a disappointment, but this makes up for it, really the classic T-ara horribly-catchy stuff that I love.

It's weird, because I preferred Why Are You Being Like This and felt that it really showed that YaYaYa was originally meant for Co-Ed. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

And at least the hipster party wasn't insulting to anyone. I don't know, except maybe hipsters. But who cares about them.

Yeah, damn YaYaYa totally should have been a Co-Ed song, but I think they've tortured those poor kids enough! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':punch:' />

They actually used the strange matador-like outfits from the pic above (sans the awesome hats) in this performance of "WHY ARE YOU BEING LIKE THIS?!"

BTW, tangent here, but I noticed that kind of short, boyish haircut is kind of popular in girls groups of late (Nicole from Kara has the same kind of cut in Jumping)

T-ara are too sexy for their pants.

This makes little sense to me considering KARA and SNSD's recently approved outfits.

Nicole looks really stunning with short hair. I kind of like that girl groups are showing short hair can be hot. Ga-in and Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls especially make it work, though Ga-in's hair is a lot cuter in Abracadabra.

This rant brought to you by a former wearer of pixie cuts who has since grown out her hair quite long. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />

Oh yeah, I guess Ga-in was the first to rock that haircut (successfully). Yeah, WTF is with the arbitrary costume rules?! Rules seem to only apply to newer/less established groups. BTW, I really dig the entire Temptastic EP. Track 4 "I Don't Know" is one of the most fun songs ever.

I guess I'm a weirdo, because I don't like YaYaYa in the least, but have a hard-on for Wae Ireoni XD It's the first T-ara song I've actually liked - I feel like most of their other stuff just doesn't stick out or have it's own flavor in any way, to be honest. I like that Wae Ireoni doesn't have the same phrase repeated like, 5000 times unlike most of the popular Kpop right now (it seems like after the success of songs like SORRY SORRY and Gee, every Kpop producer thinks he can't write a hit without repeating some non-word-word over and over. Gee gee gee gee, sorry sorry sorry sorry, ring ding dong ring ding dong ring dingi ding dingi ding, etc) Wae Ireoni is one of like, 4 post-2007 Kpop songs on my mp3 player. I also love the psuedo-hipster-Forever-21-threw-up-on-me fashion in the video.

That is indeed a nicely produced video.

But the singing part of the refrain (roly poly bla bla) is a copy of the refrain from Daddy DJ. haha

This is so fail, although it is better than 2NE1 at least. How did they think this is disco? It's just generic-o-kpop. Really disappointing.

And yeah ripping the chorus from Daddy DJ which has ALREADY been ripped off by Basshunter before? Damn. What a fail song. This just shows how incompetent the people behind the music from T-ara are, it's painful.

Core Contents Media always pair fantastic MVs with lack luster songs, imo. I wish I could get into T-ara but I've only really liked Wae Ireoni.

Do they want to become John Travolta individually, or as a group, like a Travoltron? 'Cause the latter is potentially more awesome and less confusing.

CCM always has nice MVs because they're a company that mainly deals with dramas and movies. Music isn't really their forte, which is probably why T-ara don't get many good songs. The members get lots of CF deals and movie parts, but I wouldn't say they're really known in Korea for their music much. They're all popular for other reasons.

I finally have a favorite member. Jeon Bo Ram aka Boram. She's the short one. Compared to other girl groups, seeing a height difference is pretty uncommon unless I'm just not looking hard enough. They are all pretty uniform. I checked on wiki and sure enough, Boram is 155cm while the rest of the girls are above 160 and most are 167cm. She's got quite a pedigree also with her father being a singer and her mother an actress.

Also they'll be releasing a part 2 MV for Roly Poly on July 11th.

Most groups have "short" people in them. Sunny/taeyeon in snsd as an example.

Boram's is a bit more noticeable because there's no range of heights. There's her and everyone else just towers over her. She actually got some flak for her height when they debuted because her profile listed her height so tall that it wasn't even believable.

Yeah, it's also really strange to realize that she's older than me lol. She's just a weird idol to begin with.

Weird, I was always under the impression that T-Ara was a 4 member group.

And man, that song (and parts of the video) is sooo 80s. It feels more "old", if that's what they wanted to achieve, than their original version.

I'd probably like this song more if I didn't know Daddy DJ already...

Upping with the release of the Japanese "Bo Peep Bo Peep."

Something seem sreally off about it. Like the vocals just don't match. Or is it just because I was so into the original?

Hwayoung is probably derping it up for you <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... lesson.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lesson:' />.

Anyway, it ranked number 1 with 49,712 copies, and T-ara now hold the record for highest debut single sales for a female kpop group.

I like this song and Roly Poly and watched a few episodes of Hello Baby, so the group is growing on me a lot lately. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /weeeh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':weeeh:' />

Oh gosh, Soyeon and her beautiful huge eyes.

Since I heard Roly Poly in a club three weeks ago I also started to like it.

For me, T-ara still has a weird atmosphere around them though...
