Pictures of tornado damage from Joplin, Missouri look like the tsunami-affected areas of Japan.
500 people have died in the U.S. so far this year from tornado activity. Granted, a small number compared to Japan's loss, but no less devastating to affected areas in the south and midwest, areas already suffering from the depressed economy.
I sent money for Japan relief. Now's the time to help out closer to home.
