I think most of these girls look like literally any girl you could see walking down the street I'm guessing that's part of the appeal - to not be intimidatingly attractive.

More or less, yeah, especially at this point in their careers. I'd argue that THE Possible members, the anime girl, and the white girls definitely don't fit the description of "any random girl" you'd see walking around Japan. If you said that same description didn't fit everyone in 9-11th gen Morning Musume, I think that'd warrant a throat-punch. Girls being pretty "average" in the beginning is one of Tsunku's big things, and kinda always has been.

Yeah, I'm not counting The Possible girls, haha. And I'd actually say those two white girls are honestly below average looking, tbh. And I guess I'll shield my throat now, because I think most of 9-11th gen started out cuter/more interesting looking than these girls.

The white girls may be below average looking for white girls, but they are definitely not common in Japan. The boring new MM girls might have looked "cuter" because they were younger when they started (and still are,) but every one of those girls is as indistinguishable as they come. *punch*

The only thing that was repelling to me was the fucking awful quality of the video they uploaded. Seriously, is this like, late 90s internet videos here? The song is pretty fantastic and the video is extremely similarly hyper and crazy, but it was hard to watch with that shite quality. Unfortunately, though, we'll probably never get anything better unless they release a DVD with their indie stuff on it.

The single ranked 8 with 9,403 which is pretty good for an indies release.

They're getting a major debut in May.



Not all of them, though. Just 12, 8 of whom were chosen by popular vote. And they go by "Bakusute Sotokanda Icchome". Their single is called Baito Fighter and it's coming out May 8th under Warner Music Japan.







"The press conference started with the introduction of the 12 main members. The 8 members who are chosen by popular vote of their customers are called “weekly ranking” and they are Aikawa Ayano, Moroboshi Azuna, Kawaoto Yumi, Aoshima Karen, Hario Arisa, Hirosawa Mai, Kumamoto Miwa, and Asakura Yuri. The label staff chose Taiga Hana and Hanano Yuuka as the “maker waku”, and AD Nagisa and Suzumi Hinano were chosen by the staff as “bakusute”."

Not sure if anyone knew but they released their major debut single this past week, and managed to get a daily #1 on the first day that made them very happy.

They also got a ton of new members but I haven't seen any official photos.
