I wonder why they would arrange a graduation so soon after her inauguration as leader?

Her first single in the position hasn't even released, so it seems like she hasn't even had a trial run...

Risa never seemed too friendly with either of them, she was tighter with Ai and Eri who are now both gone. If anything, she was Sayu's competition for Eri's love. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /dance.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dance:' />

Unless there's something I missed, I don't recall SayuReina having much of a friendship with Gaki. Reina goes without saying.

I've been poking around a few sites, seems someone at one of the concerts texted someone else to say that the Risa thing was true and that the other stuff was a lol worthy false.

Too bad my 2011 prediction was off by two days. :<

Apparently she wanted out with Ai, as in a double grad, but they wouldn't let her as they needed her to lead the new members. Also, a rumour is circulating that there will be another double/triple MM grad within a year of Risa's grad (this is from someone who is at the concert right now), so don't get too excited about the Sayumi-era yet.

TBH I don't even care. MM has been sucking for such a long time that it's good she feels she wants to do something different. I hope her and Ai can do a play or a TV show together.

They are, the fact that all the other rumors are now gone and this one is still here means it's true. That other rumor about Aika, Sayu and Reina leaving. of COURSE they are leaving, it may not be this year or next but they are leaving. That's what Morning Musume is and will always be about. I think UFA spoiled us with the Panda years, with the lull in the graduations and auditions.

Anyway, Risa be graduating at the end of the Spring concert. Which is probably why they added so many more concert dates. Which by the way have the girls in what look to be left over scraps of the Mobekimasu outfits.

For some reason I thought it was Nikkanspots that falsely reported on something in the past before they checked their sources. I could be mistaking it for another news site though. It was a long ass while ago.

I'll bet you a million, billion, trillion dollars that the remaining three old girls will either be gone or their graduation is announced in 2012. There will be an 11th Gen audition.

Why not just put Risa, Sayumi and Reina in Dream MM, rename the group MM and call the largely talentless remaing MM members UFAKB(insert number of 9th + 10th + 11th members).

Jokes aside, I sadly agree with everything you said about this! Much like the new S/mileage girls, I'd be so much more pleased with them if they were a new group all their own. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... pyeyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':puppyeyes:' /> Now I have to resent them for breaking perfectly good groups (though in MM, this is expected).

MM needs the older girls though, the younger generations - all eight girls - don't have as much presence in the group yet to stand on their own. Sayu is well known by the mainstream populace for her TV work and Reina is the front girl and has been a front girl for years, now. Since Aika isn't as well known or notable, these girls need a leader (or leaders), and to graduate the 6gen girls would be stupid and pointless and counterproductive. Practically, I'd say there's no way that the other older girls will be graduated much too soon, but pessimistically I'll settle to just 'hope' they don't graduate anytime soon.

Dream Musume wont be around after their last concert, so it's a pretty pointless thing to do. That's your pipe dream, and the pipe doesn't go anywhere.

Sayumi will stick around because she makes good money for UFA with her TV gigs, UFA isn't that stupid, a monkey isn't even that stupid. Why get rid of a ripe banana when all you have are green under-ripe ones? Until they can find a suitable replacement within Morning Musume she stays as well as Reina and Aika. They will all leave as Musume's do.

I think S/mileage would have broken apart even without the auditions. Saki and Yuuka clearly didn't want to stay. Then you'd have Kanon and Wada and that's a sad little smile. No wonder they didn't get proper graduations. Pump ALL this money into a group and then two people up and leave. I blame Akihabara for this. They made idols into something of an after school job not a life long career. But that's beside the point.

Risa is leaving and Saki will be upgraded from Captain to Admiral (Because I view Hello!Project as a ship, not an army....)

And all before Berryz comes to America!

No Risa love here? Too bad, I grew to somehow like her, even though it took damn long enough. And personal preference aside, her voice is important to the overall MM sound, which became even more apparent with Ai's departure. If you can't hear it, you must have listened to too much Koharu. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/meh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';/' />

I don't like the direction MM is going, but it just seems they decided to cater to a different demographic than the opinionated 20-going-on-30s that make up the majority of the BBS populace. As much as I want Emo Musume to return, I guess it's time I looked up what the 10th Gen names are. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... smooch.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='=3=' />

(Riho is still the second best thing after Sayu, but during the last year or so the 9th Gen received very little material worthy of her awesomeness)
