Morning Musume Concert Tour 2012 Spring ~Ultra Smart~

Tour starts later today in Japan, so might as well make a thread. Graduation is at Budokan.

I guess Silver no Udedoki is on the setlist, unless someone can think of another song where Aika raps. Dance battle would be more exciting if jpop in general had better choreo. I'm hoping they won't sing. It'll be better if they don't. But hey, let's focus on the good. 5th gen is finally about to be dead.



He says it's 'fully loaded' with songs from the 12th album so maybe they're all showing up?





Pretty sure this isn't Pyoko since they're so far apart but my mind is blanking on other songs with jumping.

Aika kind of raps in Nanchatte Renai. I hope they up the production this round, especially for the Budokan.

Also, the people at H!O really want another JKM, and I hope to god we don't get one. That single sucked so hard.

Well, I hope we finally hear a live performance of "Kaiketsu Positive A," because that was one of my favorite songs from the 12 Smart Album.



The only other album song that wasn't performed was "Otome no Timing," which was the Aika-Eripon-Zukki song.



I actually like all the songs off 12 Smart, so I'm guessing I will enjoy this concert a great deal. It will be interesting to see how they handle the lack of Ai-chan's voice, however.



I'd love to see a live performance of the Pyoco B-side "Kanashiki Koi no Melody" as well.

I think bringing Do It Now back would be nice, but I always considered that to be a 6th gen song because they had to sing it about 500 different times since it was their audition song. Having Risa still around, it would be nice to hear it one more time since she was in the rap part. They haven't sang it in awhile so it would be nice to have it back in the roster, especially since the 6th gen are taking over.

That is a lot of "without Aika" in the setlist. I hope she gets to perform more as the tour goes by.

At least she's performing again. They probably don't want her to break her leg again so are keeping her out of the high energy songs.



I love Give Me Love, but I don't know how they are performing it without Takahashi. I wonder if they gave all her lines to Risa? Or is it an even split between the R's. (Haha! I just noticed all the front girls names begin with R.)



Oh and in JKM, they went by generation and age except for Risa who comes at the end.

I was hoping for a JKM but I thought they would wait til the fall oh well. That will make my day better. I kinda liek the setlist. No Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Nagetteru da ya :( Unless I completely missed that. Happy that a lot of it is 12 smart, that was a good album. Also some songs I don't know. Guess I may ned to look into some songs.

That's a nice medley, and I like some of those songs, but overall? Not too impressed with this setlist. Also, ew, Namida. Why bring that back?



Surprised Aika isn't in OK YEAH, because they mostly stood in place for it at the last concert.



Night setlist has Aki Urara as Risa's solo, with Riho and Ayumi as backup dancers.

I listened to the recording of the Day concert. Rather than talk about all the songs, I'll just talk a bit about the ones that I feel are worth commenting on:



3. Kanashiki Koi no Melody - Risa, Kanon, and Mizuki all sounded great here. But they cut out the 10th gen lines! WHY.



4. Joshi Kashiblah - I think Tsunku added this just so his voice would be in the concert somewhere. Aika used her actual non-cute singing voice, since she got a slow part. Mizuki sounded nice again. Couldn't hear Eripon, because the wota wouldn't shut up during her part. Zukki got the slow part, and pulled some serious man voice. Haruna probably sang her part the least, and just talked it all through. Ayumi sounded very nice. If she works on her stamina, I think she'll be nice to listen to live. Masaki sounded like an anime character, and Haruka sounded cute.



8. Otome no Timing - I know this song is boring, but I had to mention it because Zukki sounded so nice. Eripon tanked unfortunately. If you listen, you'll know what I mean. But the wota were loud for her again. SEE ERIPON THEY LOVE YOU. They didn't do the full song, but they didn't do the full song for almost everything up to this point.



11. Suki na Senpai - I can't really pick out who is who. So I assumed the two better voices were Ayumi and Haruka because it made sense. They all did fairly well though.



12. Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago - I have to give more props to Zukki, because, in my opinion at least, she impressed more than anyone else here. I guess I could mention Mizuki (who got most of the lines from what I heard), but I think it's obvious this is her kind of song given her voice.



15. Shanimuni Paradise - Live please. Not a fan of it on the cd, but it's a nice concert.



17. Medley - I can't tell anyone apart in How Do You Like Japan's speaking parts except Risa and Sayu. TOP got remixed a little. Ikkimashoi sounds fun. And I love Yamete Yo Sinbad. This is probably one of the most fun medleys they've done in awhile.



22. Renai Hunter - I still can't remember what this reminds me of, argh. It's cool whenever Risa is singing. Kind of less so when Reina and Riho sing.





Overall: Everything is better with Zukki.

Yes, Riho is the 9th gen's Reina. No wonder yet on who is going to be taking that spot from the 10th gen. But so far it seems to be Ayumi followed by Haruka, though Masaki is the dark horse in this race. ;D

Lately, I feel like Reina's kind of redeemed herself in the vocal department. She still whines sometimes, but she's not as obnoxious as before. Maybe all the new girls inspired her.

I've read Haruka is the most popular, but that Ayumi is the ace, she does sing the most out of all the 10ki on the new single.. Masaki is the cute one and Haruna is just there creeping on Sayumi.

I remember Haruka being the favorite during the auditions. Not sure who it is now.

Well, Haruka still has the most fans by far on mixi, and when somebody put up the 10th generation's interviews on YouTube, her interview got the most views. That doesn't necessarily mean she's still the favorite, but that's all I know. Ayumi is definitely getting the push, but since Haruka's a better singer and appears to be the most popular, doesn't that make her the ace? I'm so confused. I just figured they're pushing Ayumi right now because she's unpopular and they want her to gain popularity (like how they pushed Risa at first) and because she has a lot of experience (like Makoto).
