Haha, pretty much any Asian non-wota crowd tends to look like that. It seems to mostly be a cultural thing. Even at Jrock concerts, you'll half the people just standing there blank faced. The only exception to this I've noticed is Koda Kumi concerts, she's always had a surprisingly active crowd.

Also, there's a clip on that same page of JunJun's appearance on a Chinese TV show that's just priceless. It's subtitled:

In it, she explains the meaning of "Morning Musume" and I'd be curious where she got that from. I never heard that explanation before. She sings twice--in Japanese both times. And she participates in a dance improv bit where she has to change her dance style to fit the changing music cues. It's very cute.

Also, there's a funny bit where one of the hosts tries to figure out her age based on Morning Musume's debut in 1998[sic]. She then has to explain the whole rotating membership procedure.

Omg that's the most adorable and sweet thing ever. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' /> I was just reading some translations of JunJun's weibo the other day and thinking she seemed pretty moody and sad (though it was a bit tough to tell because the translations have terrible English). Hopefully Ai cheered her up.



The Japanese reads:
