Now that I'm home and watched the video. Juicy Juice is what I'm going to be calling them. I have no idea what the hell Tsunku said, but it sounded like that. So I'm totally going to ignore that = sign.



Also, yesterday I uploaded a picture of Yuka that I drew without thinking of what her "color" would be.

It's just Juice Juice (ジュースジュース). The equal sign is silent, lol. I was so relieved when I found that out. Juice Juice is bad, but Juice Equals Juice is much worse.

He didn't go as crazy as I expected, an equal sign is pretty tame. He also fulfilled the food name.

Even though you said your camera isn't good, there's something about the grainy appearance that sort of makes me think of a printed manga cover.

I already love this group, so it pains me to see Tsunku inflicting unnecessary damage on their chances of success.



Of course, being an H!P fan, I should be used to UFP's dumb decisions, but I guess I've been spoiled by their success in promoting MM over the past year.



On the bright side, the name is so unusual that I could imagine it catching on at some point. I originally thought Momoiro Clover Z was a pretty stupid name too.

It all really comes down to how much personality and individual style the group has to offer. Well, that on top of decent promotion, of course.



I never understood the hype behind Karin, but I'm actually loving her look among these girls. She stands out.

Last night I told Ryan about JUICEJUICE and he rolled his eyes and was like "Oh god. JuiceJuice? Berryz?" and then raised his eyebrows at me.



Just interesting to see a non-fan's reaction.







I mentioned this in chat yesterday, but I was perusing 2ch yesterday and the only comment about JUICE=JUICE that really stood out to me was a person who was like:

"Kanazawa Tomoko (17)

Miyazaki Yuka (18)



I don't need these two people. I wanted all middle schoolers."

I'm kinda indifferent towards the name but absolutely can not wait to see more of them. I like the fruit aspect of it. If I were to produce a cute girl group I would probably do something similar. Who knows...maybe each member being associated with a certain fruit will encourage people to support her because they like that fruit.

I've heard of a few of these girls, but have no clue who they are. That means everyone has a fighting chance in my mind. I still don't like the name, but I'll wait until they release something to pass further judgement.

I am really excited to hear something from them! I wonder if we'll get a "surprise!" appearance at a concert or something with a song...even a cover would be nice (just to hear them together).

Karin was my favorite (since she was the only one I knew), but after seeing the posted videos, I think Yuka is my favorite, Karin in 2nd. And going solely from their intros given in the name announcement video, I think Tomoko sounds the most leader-like. She definitely seems experienced, based on Tsunku's comment.



I am also going to fantasize that they are replacing Melon Kinenbi and will be given cool sexy songs like they were given.

(Hey Tsunku, a cover of Kosui might be cool!)



Either way, it'll be interesting to see where this group heads.
