Fortune Music has changed things up a bit with the special box set tickets and added a third new event. there will be a "sign, handshake, talk" event together. You can have one member to sign a photo with your nickname written (10 characters only) plus shake hands and talk with them.

I feel like they weren't on tv as much as the last single either.  Toki wo... is amazing and needs some air time.  The general public needs that amazingness in their lives.

Last singles first day was 119k and Wagamama was 96k.


Not surprised they had such a huge drop. Weak single and they did less events which have a huge impact on the numbers. They'll get 100k but this single probably won't hit 150k like the last two.

Whereas the fact that there were no promo for that single (ok, 2 bildboards.. remember, at least 20 for Wagamama), 80 000 is not bad but I admit that I expected more for that single.. I'm still hoping for good sales for coming days ^^.

Wouldn't have happened. UFP is careful about which weeks they pick to release MM's singles so that they can get #1. They haven't gone up against anyone big in ages.

I feel like they didn't promote this as much. I mean, I know they have the whole au thing, but the last few singles they had a lot more going on.
I still haven't purchased my copy yet though, since I'm waiting for my paycheck... Hopefully the weekly sales will be over 110k.
 
Well, even if they still sell around the same amount, the consecutive #1's will continue to get them featured more on TV and perhaps even invited to Kouhaku. I think at this point, MM needs another hit song, like how Love Machine was.

Jplop were saying sales taxes just went up and people made a big deal out of it. Won't stop the wota but it'll definitely make casuals think twice about whether they want to pay more for the singles now.

Wouldn't it be the opposite? It's not too big a deal to pay a little more for one single, but if you're buying tons of singles for the handshake and photo tickets, that's going to hurt a lot.

Only to illustrate : ranking on Oricon's website. If I understood well, all the other were also new and the first day is always the best so we shouldn't worry about the weekly ranking :).

The wota just want the tickets. One bought 200 copies, took the tickets, and is now giving them away for free today. The price increase won't stop them since they spend a ton of money already. But I think for casuals it forces them to decide if they really like the group or song enough to buy the single.

I'm glad for the #1 but I feel 80k is a real letdown.
