“Anime Matsuri” convention celebrates its 10th Anniversary and promotes anime and Japanese culture.

Jet Blue is having amazing deals right now so I booked my flight to Houston. I can figure out everything else later but $146 for a round trip flight (I had to get the one with the extra bag they had cheaper!) is a GREAT deal I could pass up.

If plane tickets didn't turn out being so cheap I would have not gone but oh god that deal was too good not to pass up. But damn the hotel will probably be my biggest headache. But I've got time for that and hopefully find some people to split the cost of a room.

Uhg, I would want to go, but I fucking hate Anime Matsuri. The owner has sexually harassed girls in the past, most likely stole suddenly "lost" goods from lolita brands, etc. A number of brands have said they will never work with the owners again. I wish MM had known better.

For definite I'm going to be there end of April for PAX East and early May for a Final Fantasy concert, but I'm going to try and go up before then.  But I'm going to be completely honest, I'm not sure if we'll be leaving my friend's apartment...

I was seriously planning on going... but like 1k (husband and I would be going) for 3 (not full) days was ridiculous. If I had gotten my tax returns sooner I would've gone.

After extensively talking with some friends of mine about whether or not I should go, I decided I will. The chance that I might not get to see MM at all after this chance is too great for me to pass up ... but after this AM I probably won't ever give my money to the heads again. :P
I'll actually be cosplaying from Love Live on Friday as well (if I make it into the Q&A maybe Haruka will notice? lol)
 
lol I lied. There's apparently a Love Live meetup on Saturday so I'll be cosplaying then instead.

The Hello!Disco party was moved from 9 PM to 9:30PM to accommodate the fashion show, which Haruka and Iikubo will be in.


Tickets still on sale. Lots of fun, games, dancing, singing exciting! mega tons of raffle prizes. Also Idol!Swap will be there so bring some stuff to trade.

Does anyone know concretely when the concert ticket distribution on Saturday morning starts? I'm hearing 8:00 AM from some people and 9:30 AM from others, so I don't want to come too early or too late.

Last I heard they scrapped the ticket thing. So I have no idea what's going on and I doubt AM really has a clue. If you have facebook, I highly recommend joining MM'16 Houston Group, it's a little better than weeding through Hello!Online.
