Just looking at the basic setlist, this looks like an amazing concert. Better than when we just hear the same triple-A singles the whole concert through. At least this has album songs along with songs from a year or two ago. It's a great mix up.
 
Sadly there were no shuffles this time, but maybe in Kaleidoscope? Either way, I might buy this just based on Crystal Clear's setlist, and that's a first for a summer/winter H!P concert for me.
 
 
PS--Don't forget, this is the first year without C-ute in the H!P concerts. RIP.

That's kind of disappointing. The best part of putting Mizuki and Riho on the dance team was the other girls had to fill their singing spots.

The set-list overall is pretty good. A lot of songs that were revived. Some for the better, some not so much... And I actually like Crazy About You and some Kirarin☆Revolution too, but the first 3 shuffles. I didn't even know Romance was a BK song and Chocolate Damashii was one of the few Ayaya singles I didn't like. Honestly don't remember Samui ne, but that's because early S/mileage was usually a miss for me.

Of course! They haven't had anyone that good at speaking English in years... In my opinion, they should abuse it XD
 
But again, like everyone else has said, these shuffles are killer! I don't see a song I don't like sans Girls Power, Aisuru Power. But the rest I at least like, if not love.
 
I feel like not having C-ute there opens some spots for girls on shuffles they might not normally be on. Maybe just my imagination, though.

I actually went back and listened to the three songs briefly, and liked 2 of the 3 so it must have been around the time I wasn't following H!P as much. I didn't realize 2nd Gen was on Samui ne. I thought it was the original 4


I think Maria would suit a Kirari type thing as well. Interested to hear the concert rip later. I'm still excited for Hey Mahiru. One of my favorite H!P songs.

Kudou, Haga and Iikubo sounded way better on Ai no Tane than I thought they would. Not that Kudou is bad by any means, she just impressed me.
 
KSS's Anata Nashi was, as well, better than expected. Though it sounds like a group of KSS and not the whole group. I don't feel like I heard Danbara. Though I thought I heard Takase and Ichioka?

Meaning these 6 were missing, Danbara, Noguchi, Kodama, Yonemura, Yoshida, and Hashisako

Well it's not unusual that they only have a select few perform, or to switch off on different days.
 
I would doubt that Hashisako and Noguchi left, so I don't think those girls graduated the program. We'll see in the concerts to come, I guess.
 
 
EDIT: Only 9 out of those 11 girls performed at the COUNTDOWN LIVE (Inoue and Yamazaki weren't at countdown). I'm low key freaking out. Why didn't those 6 perform at the COUNTDOWN LIVE or the first winter concert?

Because they don't live near Tokyo and aren't so important that it matters if they miss a few performances.

Only a handful of kenshuusei perform at every concert. They are all still and school after all. I wouldn't be surprised if the ranks changed depending on where they going in the country. But it's never bothered or mentioned. Filming day kenshuusei are the only ones we remember.

Yeah, like I said I know it's not unusual for them to rotate KSS in concerts. It just confused me that the COUNTDOWN LIVE was missing the same KSS. But I guess the worrying was probably for nothing :)
 
EDIT: Here's a news video with a small bit of coverage on the concert. It mainly focused on Momoko's "Kanji" (and goal) of the new year, until she graduates.

Aikawa Maho and Niinuma Kisora both came down with the magical winter concert flu.


Chances are they will be recording the concert this weekend since this is the last weekend for Nakano Sun Plaza (where they always record for the DVD) so they probably won't be in the concert.
