I think there are 4 or 5 unreleased CG songs as well as the 'graduation song' for Momoko (they showed the recording in H!S I think. It would be a short disc but maybe I'm forgetting some songs.

No, it was released as a 5-nin version on the last Petit Best. Maybe they're doing a 6nin version on this one?

Also if the disc is only 5 songs, I'm going to be slightly disappointed...maybe we'll get some Country Musume covers to fill it out (maybe new songs too?)

I'd love a solo version of "Futsuu, Idol 10nen Yatterannai Desho!?" or some kind of vintage Buono! song.
 
Also, did anyone vote for a song to be included?
 
I chose Gag 100kaibun Aishite Kudasai. It's one of my favorite Berryz songs (though I've got a pretty limited knowledge of their discography) and it's very Momo-centric.
 
But at the same time, I think it'd be great if she got a solo version of this as well.

I chose Koishiteru Toki wa Itsumo... one of my favorite Berryz B sides and it works well as a solo song.

Sekai de Ichiban Taisetsu na Hito, I love this B-side and she could do a 100% Momochi tone at the "Watashitte mendoi ?" ("Am I a nuisance ?") line.


I chose Koiseyo because I enjoy it but don't own it yet (one of the very few of their songs I don't own).

I wish they'd put the unreleased CG songs on a CG album. Throwing it all on a Momoko tribute does nothing to help them once she leaves.

I'm a bit torn on that matter : this way, their first album may sell fine and it may be kind of a transition (Otomomochi may not all leave after her graduation because they found out some interesting songs on the album). On the other hand, I get why you said it wouldn't help them at all.

I'm curious if the voting for the third disc is a total farce or just mostly. Seems hard to believe that on May 8 they could end up with a disc worth of results they weren't prepared for, and have it ready before June 21.

Well, I guess they could as long as they're just reusing the original instrumentals and don't let her have time to practice them properly.

Today at Country Girls Concert Tour ~Momochi-ism~ in Nakano Sun Plaza, Momochi performed a solo song "Momochi Zutto Otomomochi" (ももちずっとおとももち), lyrics and composition by Tsunku


also Country Girls performed a new song called "Kimama na Kataomoi" (気ままな片想い), lyrics and composition by Mittsu Mangrove, a friend of hers who is a cross-dressing (male but now female) TV variety talent. They worked together on Hirunan desu show.
 
Idol Sotsugyou Chuuijikou was performed as well, will be a part of the album.

I just watched Disc One of the H!P Winter 2017 concert. Momoko breaks my heart with the opening lines of "Peanut Butter Jelly Love." I'm eager for this album, but it pains me that they never developed her as a solo artist. She may just have the best voice H!P ever had.

I'm not sure I agree with best voice, but she's definitely one of the most versatile. She can sing anything with ease.


Will there only be one version of this album? Seems unlikely from H!P, but there's only one product listing on cdjapan.

Yeah, Momo has a really good, distinctive voice, but I don't know if she'd make top 10 in H!P historically. My view of her is as a solid singer of light and/or upbeat material. Has she done any standout ballad or more serious work?

Buono's Hoshi no Hitsujitachi is a beautiful, harmonized ballad... But imo the Airi outshines Momo in this. =/
 
Something to keep in mind with this song, though, is they just got done with an upbeat song before this so they're a bit breathless.

I pretty much expected that, but it would have been cool to see what other H!P songs Momochi likes enough to sing.
