[2017.12.06] MM'17 new album - ⑮ Thank you, too

Hey, guys! MM'17 is FINALLY releasing a new album, It's honestly been a while...
There will be two editions: limited and regular. The limited version will have a blu-ray of the 20th anniversary event they held back in September.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first album to 12th, 13th, and 14th gen?

Truth be told, they don't have a lot of time to promote between now and the release date. Right after is Duu's grad and right after that are some more handshake events, Xmas events, Countdown, Hellocon...
 
They could make up for sales by hosting pre-order handshake events for the rest of the concert dates, and those are open to the general public (i.e., you don't need to show your concert ticket).  CD-only album is "only" 2500 yen so it sounds cheaper (they'd better be handing out three handshake tickets per copy, dammit).
 
Also, the fact that it's 2500 yen probably means that there are less than the standard 12.  Probably 8 or 9?

They have 7 unreleased songs if I'm not mistaken. Filling in with only 3 single songs when they would have 20 to choose from seems the most likely, even though it doesn't make much sense to me, but if a copie costs "only" 2700 ~ 3000¥ with taxes, I don't think they will do like JJ and put all singles on other discs.

I'd like to think that was the case, but they could have easily done it with 17 instead of 15 and dropped the 2, if they continued to release albums early. But I'll take it.

So that's 20 singles left off that album. And in my book, it's inexcusable to me to release an album without the best of those 20, which would include the songs I just mentioned, as well as Oh My Wish!, Sukatto My Heart, Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi, Endless Sky, The Vision, etc.

It’s obvious by the fact they are only releasing 1 CD instead of a 2CD that they are going to eventually have a best of album. But I’m not sure why they couldn’t do both? It’s not like they haven’t thrown old songs on an album and members no longer in that song have graduated.


I’d be surprised if they even promote the album at all. Up-Front is great at promoting singles but they suck when it comes to albums. It’s a real shame too. They are really rushing to get this out before Duu leaves. They’ve had three years! It’s always like UF is flying by the seat of their pants. But I guess that’s just how they’ve always been but back in the day news and releases didn’t come as quickly to the international crowd as it does now.

I'm a little bummed about these outfits. It's like they decided to throw an album together at the end of the year, forgetting it's been 3 years and were like, opps, we forgot they need to wear something different. So they went to the costume designer for the concerts and were like, throw something together will you?
