Maybe it's just what I see on social media, but it seems like Wakana was by far the most popular right out of the gate, and only recently somewhat challenged by Narin. Shion got some shine with their first single, but it died off pretty quickly. Admittedly, my circle is pretty small, so this could just be small sample size.DonJuan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 8:00 am I don't even think Shion was in the back for her generation. She's the most popular of the three as far as I know, and she is very well known for her great stage performance, facial expressions, etc. Maybe dango-ki is just too strong for any of them to actually stick out.

What are the odds of a Fuku/Eri-pon double graduation? I think they're decent.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
I doubt it. Solo graduations make Up Front more money, and for two long-runners like them they're gonna milk it to no end.

I don't know if it's ever been mentioned here, but the jpopization channel on YT has been uploading a lot of old H!P video content that's been upscaled to 4K. Older videos and live clips previously only widely available in SD now in glorious HD, or at least something approaching it.

That Ayaya Goodbye NATSUO Wild Ver. though.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
The latest Upcoming has audition footage of Sakurai and Akari. It's not much to go on -- and I wonder if they purposely release the worst footage they have to both lower initial expectations and set them up to crush those expectations when they debut -- but Akari is definitely the stronger singer and dancer of the two. I've (finally) learned to not put much stock into less-than-great auditions, though, because both of these girls will probably improve a lot over the next couple of years.
Jump to 16:18 to see Yuki record her lines for "Hade ni Yacchai na!" Man, I really dig her voice. She's got some rhythm issues -- which will fix themselves with time -- but she's got a naturally electric and soulful voice and pretty solid power. Between Anju and TF, I'm not sure whose recent additions I'm most excited about.

This might be my favorite ONE PLUS ONE yet. Runo and Maa having a blast doing Utakata Saturdy Night.
I like these pairings of OGs with girls who have a year or so experience because they're rarely as overwhelmed by the moment with a senior as n00bs or KSS are. This is such a great song for these two, and the laughing fit at the end is ridiculously cute.

H!P Dance Team x LIPPS new campaign vid: "Sunset Summer Fever"
Odd decision to have the Dance Team do a straight music video with no more difficult dancing than the average H!P group. Miyo's singing is the highlight for me, tbh.

Oh this makes sense, since the song is being released digitally on 9/1
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
To be fair this release is so weird to me lol. The dancing is underneath what they could do, the song isn't exactly catchy and even their styling isn't that amazing - weird, since their last collab with LIPPS was pretty nice. But well, I'm glad to see the girls are getting out there.

Dark blue is the best singer. Green is the prettiest, it seems, although she appears to have glown-up from her egg days (I checked).
The one in the red happi/orange earrings appears to be the best performer, I'm surprised her color isn't actually red lol. Kanami, I think, based on my short google.

Though they did cancel 3 of the concerts this summer because of Covid.
Morning Musume's (Nonaka Miki, Haga Akane, Kitagawa Rio, Okamura Homare and Oda Sakura) and Beyooooonds (Maeda Kokoro and Yamazaki Yuhane) in Miyagi. And ANGERME's (Matsumoto Wakana, and all other members being close contact) tour in Hiroshima.
Not long after all that, all of Beyooooonds ended up getting it within days of each other which is why they didn't get to go to Tokyo Idol Fest.

MM has cancelled this weekend's concert, Miki will be absent from the M-Line concert on Sunday (Miyamoto Karin will be absent due to covid as well).
Anju:
Takeuchi Akari
Takechan will be absent from a few events.
Biyo:
Ichioka Reina, Shimakura Rika, Maeda Kokoro, Kobayashi Honoka
Eguchi Saya and Yamazaki Yuhane tested negative, but have a sore throat/difficulty speaking, so they're sitting out, too.
Beyooooonds has cancelled this weekend's concert.
OCHA NORMA:
Nishizaki Miku
There are no close contacts, but Miku will be absent from Roppongi Idol Festival and TIF.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
I need a flow chart or a spread sheet with the number of times the H!P girls have been out with Covid. It comes in waves and it's hard to keep track of when. Especially since concert releases show up so far off down the line. You tend to forget.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
There is a pretty big gap between performance and release so I can understand forgetting... I sure haven't paid much attention to people being out >_>;;
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2022 ~Love and Peace~
That's pretty accurate from my perspective. I think Roko is gonna be a really good singer in a couple of years, as is Momo. Speaking of Momo, her idol glow-up is one of the more startling I've ever seen. She's gonna get rich modeling. Kanami is a lot of fun to watch, with a dorky charm about her that's pretty endearing.MejraThea wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 2:02 pmComing from someone entirely unbiased as I know 0% of any of them, and the first time I have seen them.JPope wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 4:50 pm Appropriate considering this thread's title: OCHA NORMA performing "Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Negatterun da yo!" at the Tokyo Idol Festival.
