Absolutely lol. Reminds me of how unfair the idol world is. Mai was never unpopular, but Chii is so much more popular than her. Sure, Chii is pretty and cute, but not outstanding as a performer, a good dancer for sure (but nothing amazing when half of H!P is great at dancing) and even charisma wise not really interesting. Yet she was the designated CG center (if it hadn't been for first Uta and then Manaka being really popular).

It's very M-line: competent and stylish pop, competently arranged and performed. And pretty sterile. It's pleasant enough -- I'm not gonna skip it in a playlist, and I might even nod my head to the beat a bit -- but there's no real energy or fire. It's formulaic pop-by-numbers, which pretty much describes most M-line solo releases. It really is up to the singer to provide the energy, and right now I think that only Maa-chan can do that consistently.
