They definitely talked to Yossi about booze on Utaban when she turned 20. I don't think it's a big deal for whatever reason.
Yeah, it's been talked about.

Definitely nothing out of the ordinary.

I know Yaguchi talked about Kei taking her out to drink when she turned 20 but I can't remember which show.

Sayu used to have the best drunk SayuEri posts on her blog. All the more reason to bring back Eri! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/riot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':riot:' />

While wota are puritans about sex, booze seems to only be considered naughty by Western puritans. As long as you're legal, it's practically celebrated. I think we just hear a lot less about drinking from MM these days because of the two legal members Reina doesn't like to drink and Sayu no longer has a drinking buddy.

Alcohol can also be seen as a delicacy to be enjoyed quite often in Japan, similar to Europe with wine and belgium ales etc

Quite often I think how awesome it would be if the UK (and the US) were more into enjoying delicious food and delicious alcohol instead of cheap fast food and a six pack of shit tasting piss.

I'd say the Japanese salarymen culture has made alcohol so wide spread in Japan.

In earlier times the rites involving sake as sacrificial offerings and "holy drinking" did the same.

Yeh there is that side too.

I know a lot of Japanese people LOOOOVEEE to do this -

1 - Take a bath

2 - Drink alcohol

3 - Watch TV

4 - Eat Dinner

So I'm not surprised at all that H!P wotas wouldn't be upset about the mm girls (over 20) drinking, considering it's probably something they all love to do too.

EDIT - SOOOOO FAR OT now.Image

LOOK AT HER
No, stop this. lol

Everytime somebody mentions Koharu, you're always saying how you find her good looking and how that'd justify her being in MM. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />
I think she was still a good entertainer as well. I guess I just want to be entertained by the girls again, but that's forbidden now I guess.

I'll be okay with Eri coming back too, but we all know no one from the past is coming back.

Having your ears cleaned with barbed wire is your idea of entertainment?

I'm kidding, seriously I never thought she was that funny either. She was a member during a time MM still tried to do funny shows though, maybe that's what you are referring to?

Seriously what the hell chance do any of the H!P members have with the whole BoringYama Life crap?

Before that H!P time was awesome, I still remember Take-chan trolling the shit out of momoko Image And imagine what Maa-chan would be getting up to if the show was still going!! Image

I guess they just didn't drink on any of the shows I watched. Or I just totally forgot. I don't think mari liked that drink though, but I love how the first thing she says about it is "KAWAII!"

And I never read Sayu's blog until recently, because I couldn't stand her...but now I want to read drunken SayuEri posts goddammit.

I know i'm not supposed to bump, but I had a shocking idea come to me recently.

The concert is titled after Sayumi. So what if she's graduating as well, but they're just not announcing it, to amke it a surprise.

I sounds like something that Tsunku would do, but I doubt that's what'll actually happen

It doesn't make much sense financially. They'd make more money with two graduation tours rather than one tour with two graduations.

Come to Melbourne or Sydney, we like delicious food and alcohol but we also enjoy a binge of either kind. My trainers at boot camp are British, and living there for a few years showed me how much the UK knows about food, it's not much. They like a 'gud curreh' and a roast on Sunday and really awful tasting coffee. Even the coffee I had in Japan was nicer and they aren't really a coffee culture either I understand.

Like, suddenly announce near the end of the tour that Sayu is graduating too? They would never do that. Like cadmonkey says, it wouldn't make sense financially. Her graduation will give them another reason to do an arena finale and a single that her fans will go all out for.

That's great to hear! Actually from what I hear from my parents back home, the UK is slowly becoming a more food centered nation now that smoking is banned in public places, this has lead to the demise of the great British pub and a massive increase in the amount of restaurant/pub hybrids.

Of course these things take a generation or two but still at least the changes are in motion.

15+ years ago the only thing to do after work in the UK was to go get drunk and the only food to be had was nuts or crisps.

Yeah, there's no way Sayumi is going out as an afterthought like Aika. She is THE face of Morning Musume. She gets more television, magazine, and endorsement exposure than any member since the golden era. They'll probably milk her graduation for all it's worth, Takahashi style.

Sayu's graduation tour will be full of pink and bows. Maybe this one will be, too, just for good measure. Since it's named after her and all.

Then Masaki can take over Reina's light blue since she loves her Tanasatan and she and Zukki won't be getting the shaft and having basically the same color green costumes.

AH I think it's mushy peas! I'm not a huge fan but yeah a lot of people love a pie with some mushy peas. It could be Melbourne? It sounds like something people would eat at the football.

But I'm surprised rob never tried mushy peas, I thought they were a Brit staple.

I see them more in Australia than I ever saw them in Britain, but the food was so atrocious over there for an established country, most people didn't believe me when I said Australian food was better. Probably because they still see us as convicts. :/

I would also like Sayu to stay for a bit longer. She fits well.

There was a Hello Morning episode where Ai-chan and Sayumi competed against Yuko and Nacchi at different ethnic-themed restaurants in Tokyo and the winners got to eat the restaurant's food. Ai and Sayumi won in the Australian restaurant and had to eat BEFORE they knew what they were eating. Then when they found out, they freaked out and jumped up from their seats, with Sayu seemingly following Ai's lead. First dish: some kind of alligator/croc/caiman thing. Second dish: kangaroo!
