The New All Purpose SNSD Thread

Listening to it for the first time right now.
 
The opening track, "Gossip Girls" is pretty bad ass, if a bit reminiscent of Namie Amuro circa 2005. Seriously, this would fit seamlessly on Queen of Hip Pop, which means it's awesome. If the rest of the album can hang with this track, it'll be damned good.
 
EDIT: So the second track, "Motorcycle" is a worthy follow-up, but it's the only other really good new song on the album. There are a couple of other decent tracks, a couple of real clunkers, a few meh tracks and the three singles (all of which I like). So a pretty good album, but not the ball-crusher the first two tracks hint at.

I was interested! Thank you ap2000! I've been a sone for a year and a half or so by now and yeah. I really can't wait for their Korean comeback on the 13th, by the teaser the song seems like Bad Girl mv and song type.

Their teasers have always been pretty cool, even if the song ended up sucking.
However, I too think this could be good.

So yesterday I read that SM is postponing SNSD's comeback for at least 2 weeks. They say that they had a problem with the MV and the archive was corrupted, and cannot be recovered, or something like that lel. So (and I don't know if this is true) they'll be recording it again. Korean news with the info (If anyone understands Korean, it would be nice if you told us more details about this)
 
Edit: Now that I'm thinking it, it would be really stupid if SM, the agency with more funds in K-pop, was so neglected with that MV. SNSD is at the top and they don't have more copies of Mr. Mr. for prevent this things? Because of this, I hope that this is just a rumor or something, idk. Also it was said that 2NE1 will make their comeback this month so... Titan Battle.

I'm pretty excited about the SNSD song, because the teaser shots looked really cool.

SNSD unless 2ne1 get a miracle. SNSD is more popular as a group and the individual members are more well known and popular.

I think 2NE1 doesn't really have a chance.
However, both groups had a (musically) very uninteresting 2013.

This would be a different thing if we've talked about 2NE1 from three years ago. They were doing really well in 2011, but 2012 only saw one single release and the 2013 triad turned out to be mostly boring and ended up underperforming.

Galaxy Supernova and My oh my are ok, but I didn't find them to be extraordinary and the album in general (as most SNSD albums) to be mostly uninteresting. I liked Beep Beep the most, also because it had a very charming MV.
But it was a Japanese album with Japanese singles, so it didn't have as much of a presence on the Korean market.
 
But you're probably correct and I made SNSD's year sound worse than it was.
I still stand with my statement about 2NE1, though. =P

I don't think they even promoted the singles much in Japan. 2013 was all about just getting releases out just so the year wouldn't be barren.

I agree with Ap. 2013 is the worst year for 2NE1, and also for SNSD in Japan, their newest album is the worst out of the 3 (even when IGAB was a weird song and the album was a bit uninteresting, they did it great with the prom.) I also think that SNSD will win most of the #1 against 2NE1 to be honest...
