Just some photobook/DVD junk:

Juice=Juice 1st photobook "untitled", release is 2/27. includes unpublished pics from UTB magazine, Q&A, and pics from their 1st year as a group during MV shoots, opening acts, major debut events and Budokan.

I'm surprised they're specifically advertising that there's photos from Budokan since it was a MM concert.

Maimi is releasing her 4th solo DVD. Shot in Hawaii. Release date is 4/9.

Nakky is releasing a photobook... on her birthday I think. I forgot the release date.

Rina is getting her first E-Hello release. "Rina to Rina". Ships in March.

Here she is looking like a completely different person in the DVD:

Juice=Juice having shocking-titled songs, means management really is expecting something big out of them. I love their cool, bold and mature image (whereas C-ute is sexy and cute) so go for it!

In case anyone was wondering, Aika went to New Zealand to study. She thought that she would be too distracted to study if she went to the US.

In a later blog post she talks about how she learned it's not correct to say 'sheeps' like she did in this one.

What I got from the show is that her name is Sumire, and she is from Hawaii (so like Ayaka from Coconuts Musume).
Wikipedia tells me she is a talent and model. Her full name is Matsubara Sumire. She is originally from Tokyo, but moved to Hawaii at age 7.

Now that I've watched the full thing... it's weird that they had some japanese parts left as is in the english. Like why say 8daime instead of 8th? etc...
And you can really see the difference in dance level vs Sayu and someone like Riho or Ayumi.

Interesting fact of the day! Erina has a friend who ended up joining HKT48, Motomura Aoi. They were both friends before they became idols and are the same age.
They're in that video together where Erina was crying at the AKB handshake event.

In events that no one would ever have thought would happen.... Yossie and Eripon are having a mini-live + talk together. "Hello Pro ANNEX x OG Collaboration FC event "Ikinari Ikuta ★ Yoroshiku Yossie" on 3/20.

Maybe if this goes well there will be more current member x OG events?

Why are always French "bad" people in animes etc ? :( "Marion-sama" sounds French to me and Miyabi seems to play a capricious and short-tempered woman ^^'.
But I really enjoyed both performances ! Risako is really amazing :D !

I think it has something to do with Joan of Arc, but the there's two different versions and they'd flip who was playing who and I guess their actions in the versions were different. You can see the character list here.

Since, like Anderei said, it's about Joan of Arc most if not all the characters are French. I can't think of many anime with French characters, and especially not (Attack on Titan has some "good" French characters and at least one kind of bad one.) however it could be that since Japan was allies with Germany in WWII, and Germany and France were enemies there's still something left over from that. I mean in American media (films especially) bad guys had British accents, then German ones, and then Russian ones, so maybe Japan is like that, too.

Just for the record:

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, character designer of "Mobile Suit Gundam," did a manga series, in color, called "Joan" that was tangentially about Joan of Arc, in that the lead character, a young woman in rural France, is compelled to follow in Joan's footsteps a few years after her death.
