That bottom left picture in the spoiler box...sure don't look like Riho. What'd they do to her? Is it just the bangs? Can that change the way a person photographs so drastically? Is it the makeup? The angle? Seems like a dumb move to put her on a magazine cover and make her completely unrecognizable. Yet the others look great. Has someone got it in for Riho?

In terms of fashion, Haruna wears clothes very well. She could be a model after her idol days, if she so chooses.

Check her out in the opening number of the H!P Summer 2013 concert, "Sorezore!" I wasn't crazy about the costume choices in that number, but I thought hers worked very well for her:

And thank you for those links to the Dawa/art articles. I'm very impressed and have new respect for Dawa. I'm a big fan of that period and style of art she writes about, as well as being a big fan of Monet, whom she references.

Mizuki and Haruka sing well but really should power up the voices...like C-ute, even the worst singers in C-ute has more powerful voices than them. Their voices are soooo overwhelmed by the music.

If the music is drowning them out, that's also partly a tech issue. Either the music needs to be turned down, or their mikes turned up.

Even in the studio version of that song, the voices always sounded kind of muted. I don't know why, but it just feels like it's how it's meant to sound.

They're not doing a proper sound recording at these things. It's evidently not for DVD release. I'd like to see more numbers like this at the regular concerts, with proper rehearsal, direction, choreography and sound system. Esp. the Kanon/Ayaka "Be Happy." That was delightful in its essence, it just needed better production.

Yeah, those are from the DVD.

But they don't clean up the FC events DVDs as much as the regular concert ones (there's no/less pitch correction, volume adjustment, etc, etc).

Lemon & Be Happy were really good but Fukuhime & Duu seemed to have problems with their voices, I mean, they spoke really in low voices (and of course, didn't sing loud enough) but they sing well :) ; I always enjoy their birthday event.

When the girls sing, even when Mikuki has her solo lines, her voice has always kinda sinked in the background and does not make much of an impression. In Datte Ikitekanakucha, both Aika and Momoko do better than her. I love Mizuki's voice, but I really hope she can improve.
