What's the point of "Sweet Morning Box"?

I bought a VHS tape yesterday (for $2) at Book Off that said "Morning Musume Sweet Morning Box 2001" on it. I assumed it was some kind of previously unknown music video collection, based on the cover. Well, it wasn't. It's 65 minutes, with four-minute segments for each of the the 13 members at the time, including newly installed 5th Gen. They each sit there one at a time in a room decorated for Christmas, dressed in some odd kind of Christmas Angel outfit, and they talk. Anyone know what the occasion was for this tape?

Based solely on a search on the internet, it's apparently part of some gift set of various Morning Musume Christmas items...

I can offer no insight beyond that, however.

Yeah, they were box sets released for Xmas for a few years. They all came with DVDs or videos and little Xmas items, usually in some kind of collectors tin.
