What's this H!P stage show from 2006?

Post by Madara »

I bought this DVD tonight on sale from Kinokuniya for 70% off. It has Ayumi and Nacchi on the cover over the title and, underneath the title, smaller pix of the other members of Melon Kinenbi, along with Country Musume and Ayaka Kimura. I checked the disc out and it has some dialogue scenes but appears to be mostly songs, older H!P songs, mostly from the shuffle units, done by variations of the nine performers. It was released on May 10, 2006.

It's in front of a live--seated--audience. And it has two men in the show, one an MC in a purple suit.

No record of it on CDJapan.

Anyone?

Thanks.

Isn't this it? Hello Pro On Stage! 2006

They just did little plays with random H!P girls and then songs throughout. Maki was supposed to be in the 1st one, but she got "sick". Notice that Ayumi kind of took the Goto role with the songs. The next year, Maki returned and it evolved into...

ROCK DESU YO

This was more concert focused, a very good decision.

Yep, that's it. Thanks.

What I don't understand, though, is why, when I looked up the individual performers' lists of products on CDJapan, this one wasn't listed for any of them. (Well, it's listed for Coconuts Musume, the only featured act I didn't initially look it up on.)

I've seen and reviewed "Rock Desu Yo" and remember enjoying it very much.

Here's the whole title:

Hello Pro on Stage! 2006 Nihon Seinenkan Koen Yujo to Maho no Trump – Star Gakuyaura Monogatari

Can anyone translate the part of the title that comes after 2006?

Thanks.

I looked the japanese title up on cdjapan.

Sadly they only have a damn useless picture and not actually kana/kanji there...

I couldn't figure every kanji out (not even the input thingy in windows knew the kanji combination used in koen and yujo), so I continued my search in google.

However, as it seems Seinenkan is a city or a place in Japan. Koen, Gakuyaura and Yujo I can't find in my online dict (http://jlex.org/), so I can't help you.

But monogatari means "story" and nihon "Japan" lol I can tell you what some of the kanji mean, but I doubt it would be really helpful.

ハロ★プロ オンステージ!2006 日本青年館公演 「友情と魔法のトランプ~スター楽屋裏物語」

Haro*Pro On Stage! 2006 Nippon Seinenkan Performance "Friendship and Magic Trump ~Star Backstage Story"

Nippon Seinankan is the venue where they performed it.

"trump" is playing cards.

The wording of the rest might not be exact, but it should be close enough.

I think it's more than a hostel. I'd translate it as Youth Hall. It is a place that may have a restaurant and lodging, but it's also got a performance hall.
